For whatever reasons today was the first day I have ever thought about sand mines and what they might look like. This video is exactly what I wanted to see. Thanks!

Hi, As it looks like you work in this industry wondered if I can ask you something? We are in central Florida and looking to try and buy a home but a lot of the new build outs are really close or actually bordering some of the biggest sand mines we have here. With explosions involved and them mining for sand and phosphate, I wonder how the underground infrastructure is effected and whether the foundations of these homes will stay intact? We moved to FL 10 years ago and I only felt comfortable on a higher floor of a condo that has been here a long time bc I did not want to be on ground level in anything new based on a fear of sinkholes. This looks to be something that could contribute to that? Do you know if there are any safeguards in place that they do to prevent cave ins for the areas around them and how far away should a home be in FL from a sand mine to not have a problem? Thanks Considering our ground structure is mostly limestone and not very solid, it makes me worried. I suspect the land around the sand mine was less expensive for the builders to purchase, thus the huge amount of building going on. I find it actually quite ironic that they mine the sand for the home foundations to build that may not do well bc they are too close to the mine. Any info is appreciated.

In todays mining practices we make it look nice. It will obviously not be flat field when finished but have some contours and replanted in grass and tress.

_While we expected a great product (it's by Coleman after all), we were pleasantly surprised with this kayak.•••>__allmy.tips/SevylorKayaks?ㅒㅙ__ Super easy to set up and inflate, very user friendly with the double fins on the bottom, and comfortable for all of us to use. My friend and sons are all 6' 4", a foot taller than me, but we can all enjoy this kayak. Like others, we found the paddle lacking stability and will purchase a one-piece replacement. An excellent deal on a teriffic kayak that we will get a lot of use out of._

What happens when there's no more sand to mine? Do you fill in the hole or just leave a "man-made lake"? I have seen some areas that have been mined-out and left to look like Hiroshima. Not good. It's basically transformed into unusable (and unsightly) land.

This is Permian Frac Sand facility in Voca. They just shut down actually. We closed our plant there too unfortunately. Cool video, but I wish I could have hooked you up at our place in Voca before it was closed. I think there was a bit more to see. If you want to do another video with a much larger, but different type of sand mine let me know. I’d love to use it for marketing.

Chris Valentine Yes indeed we have small rivers compared to what most states would call a river. I like the smaller more diverse rivers in Texas due to scenic views and great fishing. The access points can be tricky and take time to find, alot of private land here and they mean it when they say no trespassing..

I know alot of you checked this to learn more about the Coos HD, if so please leave your questions and i can give you my feed back of what i have found using this kayak. It has performed very well, the stability is great and i can paddle this kayak much faster than i could the big rig. Very functional on how the items have been placed, i do still prefer the coosa for handling over the HD model. The Regular Coosa is much more nimble but you loose some of the stability.
@JasonPendergast

Kyle, Forgot to answer one of your questions, yes you can paddle up river and back to fish in a river as long as the current is not to strong to do so. Just wanted you to know that as well.
@JasonPendergast
@JasonPendergast 9 жыл бұрын
Kyle, river fishing is much like lake bass fishing. You will find some of the same type habitat and fish the same way you would a lake. I would recommend doing some research on your rivers and find public access and fish them to see what you find, you may need a buddy to drop you off and leave your vehicle at load out point. In the San Marcos river tournament I went in with no pre fish and no help with transportation to drop me off. The results are obvious why I placed tenth. Most the time I go with a friend and we have two vehicles, he was not able to make it so I had to improvise and if the rain would not have made the river have more Cfs than I am able to paddle up I would have had a chance. So prepare for the unexpected and plan plan plan. Some river tips for fishing are finding out if they are in cover or main flow feeding then you can taper your method to what they are doing. They can stay up tight in cover or be out hunting, spinner bait works good for finding them and soft plastics for cover. Good luck , et me know how it goes I plan on doing a lot more of these tournaments.

Nice video! I'm thinking about doing the Aurora, IL tournament. How did you like the tournament? I haven't really done much river fishing. Any tips on catching bass in a river vs. in a lake? Also, would you recommend paddling up and the back down to your put in? Is that what most people do?
