The Kagu (Rhynochetos Jubatus) is a bird native to New Caledonia from Oceania, its closest living relative is the Sunbittern (Eurypyga Helias), they are the only living representatives of the suborder Eurypygae within the order Pelecaniformes, Eurypygae is the most basal extant suborder within Pelecaniformes, three other suborders within Pelecaniformes evolved after Eurypygae, these include Balaenicipites (Shoebill and Hamerkop), Phaethontae (Tropicbirds and Fossil Relatives), and Pelecani (Pelicans, Cormorants, Shags, Darters, Frigatebirds, Boobies, and Gannets).

So nostalgic! We have same topography and same bird. I have hunted a few of these birds. They look majestic and mighty. Though it's ladakh india, our village is in northern Pakistan
