Screen rant was only good when Ryan George was doing the pitch meetings for them. If you notice all the views from their channel are much less than the views from the pitch meetings.

To be fair, they found their niche and they help on to it! That's a good way to go about things. That being said, it's really sad that none of their other stuff is even close to it lol.

Your "brick store" analogy while accurate, also describes almost EVERY JOB in the world which is not commission based. You'll realize when you are older and get your first job. lol. jk. But seriously, at most jobs, the good workers and the bad workers make the same pay. Good work on the video though~!

Yeah! Thanks for pointing that out. I run my own lawn cutting service so I’m my own employer at the moment so I don’t run into this issue quite yet. But it’s really a good analogy about how life is unfair lol.

yes... but... it'll be "super easy, barely an inconvenience" for an AI to replace all the writers of these garbage articles.

I swear they already feel like AI lol. Also, I like the reference. I actually enjoy those videos. It’s just the articles that drive me absolutely bonkers.

I thought the BURN-E short was pretty good. I took place during the events of the actual movie, so there wasn't any risk of bastardizing characters or adding to the story in a way that would change cannon. If anything, it acted like a scrapped subplot which I think is neat. LMAO Tin Toy. A part of me wants to defend it for being a risk that saved Pixar's animation team after its financially rocky start, but hoo-boy did it age. "Early CGI Was Horrifying" is a great YT vid in which KnowledgeHusk overviews old projects and tech developments, but after bearing witness to a bunch of demonic clowns and chrome mannequins, even he can't take it: "That baby this is one of the most horrifying things I can imagine seeing in the 1980s or the 90s or ever! I don't care about the technical accomplishments of this at this point; it's just disturbing." BTW the baby's name is Billy. Lookit his Fandom description lol: "Billy is the ugliest character of the 1988 short 'Tin Toy'. He is an abnormal baby demon around 7 or 8 months old."

I do like this format, it’s quite interesting and neat. Also, I enjoyed this film for what it was. Very funny, and wholesome at times. The IF designs were pretty creative too and overall John Krasinski did very well directing it (he said on interviews he was writing it during the COVID lockdowns). Also loved the montage tribute after the credits to Louis Gossett Jr’s character who funny enough was also named Louis.

I might do something with this if any other similar movies come up. This one just worked out because I was interested in it but not super dead set on seeing it so it gave me some time. No kidding tho this movie is beyond adorable. I really enjoyed it and I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns into my comfort movie lol. It was kind of nice having no villain or obstacle characters - just a straight up problem. The tribute was also so nice. I had to refrain from talking about the movie too much lol. I’d get sidetracked.

To be fair, if there's some kind of fantasy creature coming to "fix" family issues by just being silly you already know the whole plot from start to finish 💀 I might be salty but it's a super corny trope for me
@thejackcarlin17 күн бұрын
Well what made it super interesting is that the IFs didn't come to fix a problem; they came because they were scared of losing someone they love: their owners. That's why the reveal at the end about Bea being able to see them because she needs them to get through her similar situation is actually pretty good. Plus, I don't think the plot was SUPER generic... but I might just be skill issuing.
