Your story is AMAZING!!! I just started dialysis in December 2023. It has been a lifesaver. I'm praying for a kidney and pancreas. God is awesome and will always provide no matter the situation.

Thank you so much! My husband just started HD and I am his care taker. I have only used the bag system one time and having to use it today for the second time. I run into a couple of issues which this video solved. I'm so very grateful for KZfaq and NxStage for allowing and uploading these videos!

I just completed my first week of home hemo dialysis. I'm solo. It's been a bit .....looking for the word...I guess, stressful. Anxiety on 1000. Today was day four and it was much smoother. I know it will get better and better. I'm determined to have as much of my life back as I can.

Looks like a lot of equipment to travel around with. Why the extension cord if you are not going to use it? My GFR is 15% C KD.

Check out the other “travel” video posted. She mentioned sending a package ahead of her trip with needed supplies. That’s super convenient ❤ The way hotels are set up… I would bring an extension cord because you never know the spacing. Hope this helps!

You have options pd means you can dialysis at home 7 days but high risk for infections so you have to be extremely clean and you can not get your site wet, second is hemo you will go to clinic three times a week and run your prescribed time and you will be stuck with two needles the needles scares everyone but you’ll get use to over time Ive been on dialysis for 11 years and it’s rough I pray for a kidney but I thank god I’m still here

I want to travel, but I’m worried, because I am struggling getting 35 alarms almost every treatment. This has been a rough week. There seems to be defects with sak lines, and crimped lines on my cartridges. I even missed an entire treatment last week due to 35 alarms, and not being able to resolve them. Hopefully, I won’t have any more defective sak lines and crimped cartridge lines.

My Fistula is so close to the surface that if my husband went in at a 45 degree angle he would infiltrate me! This has happened multiple times in the past and is the reason my doctor wrote the order for my husband to do my needles! The only place he can’t do them is when I’m in hospital! Thankfully that’s a rare thing nowadays!

You should go in at about a 20 degree angle for a fistula. 45 degree angle is for a graft.

I use the tubing to pull my needles. It looks like she hooks her tubing up to that machine after treatment. How is she pulling her needles if she’s not pulling on the tubes?

This video seems to be an over-simplification of the process, but I get that you want to convey that it is easy to dialyze at home.

When I first started dialysis, I had a 3rd shift chair, which was from 4-8 pm. I would go home, go to bed, and wake up refreshed, having recovered during my normal sleeping pattern. When I moved, there was no 3rd chair, so I am now treating at 6:00 am. It’s almost like a death sentence! Thank god I’m transitioning to solo HHD so I can get my life back!

Hi its a request . Is it possible for you to show a training on using car 124 instead of car 172 catridge as the lining for car 124 is completely different from car 172 . The latter seems simpler . Thanks in advance
