This video is a beautiful conveyance of experience. When you said that “…the air constantly rung with cowbells and smelled of pine and honey,” I could feel the air vibrate with honeybees and cowbells. Your narration isn’t deliberate, rather, it flows and takes up space the way thoughts fill one’s head. They come and go in a natural succession of emotions; some are inspired, others hum the background, while few may be held on to for that next essay or book. The footage you took extends this idea by providing a mixture of visual balance and rawness. Some clips were quieting and sublime, others were simple and human, re-tethering me to humanity. The two contrasts warp and weft, creating a dynamic composition. This is a piece of art!

You know those poems you read and songs you hear that make you want to live, that say exactly what you needed to hear and that stick with you for a lifetime as you stay up at night with the words replaying and replaying and replaying again in your head and with hands stretched out to the heavens you trace the images which they described - this video feels like one of those poems, like one of those songs. (Also Ana what do you want to study in the future and where??) xx

what a compliment, i can’t imagine what i make ever being described that way. thank you. I still don’t know what i want to study, i love learning everything and anything which makes me suspect i’ll end up going into academia of some sort. maybe a professor or researcher. hopefully a writer as well. i hope to study at yale, brown, wesleyan, those sort of northeastern universities.
