Dan is one of my favorite musicians of all time. Some of his lyrics hit me so hard that I can't see them without choking up

You get to meet a talent like Tom and the first thing you do is whinge about Donald Trump. Have a downvote for being a chode.

Dan is one of the reasons I picked up a bass and learned how to play. Armageddon was the first song I learned to play

I am three years late on discovering this but pure gold! Great questions! I wasn't aware that Ian's genealogy was from Scotland. Cool stuff!

I wonder which 2 songs Slug thinks that they were close to perfect. I feel like even if you asked him he wouldn't want to say. I think they have been close to a perfect song a lot more then twice. Id say they have at least 7 almost perfect songs. The Waitress might be one of the two but who knows. Great interview btw.

Great interview! Thanks for putting it up. I love Future of the Left and there's a dearth of Andy Falkous audio interviews online, nice to hear he's as cool a guy as I hoped he would be :-) you did well re-recording your bits.

I haven't heard an hour of andy talking about life, like, ever. Hope FOTL will come to poor upstate NY some time, but I get that it makes no sense for them to leave the city if they come at all. Thanks for the interview.

Yeah this was a fantastic interview. Most interviews of Ian or Henry Rollins, they ask the SAME questions OVER and OVER. It's so nice to get this other side to a brilliant, and sincere icon. He is far too important to waste that time

great interview...Chelsea is my favorite artist and it is always nice to hear more lengthy interviews with her and ones that don't ask the same questions she has been asked a millions times...you had more of a chat with her and that is the best...cheers!

INdeed....It is something I noticed early on with Chelsea interviews She would always get the generic same few questions over and over for several years now and you could see her sigh in them...but when an interviewer steps up and tries to connect and just sits down and both parties get to learn about one another and just talk about what ever the mood strikes them as well as mix in fresh, original, and actually compelling questions that may also spark intrigue in the person being interviewed and both persons are engaging the conversation, actively involved in what one another is saying is a real treat to witness and we come away learning something new.

Really enjoyed this, thanks Mark. Love how humble Jeff and Chris are about their art. That's a great point Jeff made about how their art would suffer if it wasn't coming from the same places and experiences, I guess that's how they've managed to keep it consistent.

Thank you! I think that was my favourite moment in the whole interview. A lot of artists lose their thematically when they're constantly on the road and detached from real life.
