i was a big fan of the book this movie was based on. in fact i think i saw it in the theater as soon as it came out but don’t hold me to that either, that was actually a dark period of my life and i have worked hard to block out a lot of things….i refer to it as my other life, it definitely feels like a lifetime ago. anyways if reading tear jerkers is appealing to you its by Nicholas Sparks, 🤪😂 i am a crier and yes i was balling my eyes out reading and watching this one. i loved the music video too “when i look at you” great song! 👏🏻💜

Hey Juli! Yeah, I don't much care for Liam Hemsworth either also maybe because of his role as Gale on THE HUNGER GAMES.😑 I saw this movie a while ago. I cried too. This is the movie in which Miley & Liam met. Did u know they seriously dated to the point that he proposed to her? Shortly after, they broke up. Miley did her thing for a bit, but then they got back together & got married only to get divorced. Miley has been acting for quite some time. She was on the Disney series HANNAH MONTANA w/her dad Billy Ray Cyrus. I've seen her in this movie u just watched plus a movie called LOL. I've seen her on an episode of the Netflix series BLACK MIRROR. So, I've seen her act, but I think her music is where her true talent lies. Thanks for sharing your experiences w/the deaths of loved ones. I have had experience w/that throughout my life. My grandma being my most recent loved one to pass, almost 2 yrs ago. She passed away in our house a day after we brought her here to live w/us. The day before, my step-uncle had taken my step-grandfather, my grandma's husband, to live in an assisted living home close to him in Arizona because my step-grandpa's dementia was getting worse, & my grandma couldn't take care of him anymore. We live in California. My grandma felt like she was never going to see him again. She died the next day of what I believe was a broken heart. I was very close w/her. So, while u were talking about your grandma, grandpa & uncle, I had tears constantly falling from my eyes. I miss her. Anyway, I thought rhis was a very heartfelt reaction.😊 🌷

It's extremely understated, and probably the most difficult type of acting to pull off effectively. Watch that scene again. Watch the eyes puddle up. Watch her throat, you'll see a subtle swallow before she speaks. Listen to the slight hint of quavering in the voice when she says "Hello father." Brilliant performance.

This movie has such nostalgia for me because after I watched it I watched EVERY SINGLE movie Miley Cyrus was in. Never though for a second I might be gay... Good memories 😅

I remember the first time i saw this, i didn't know obviously that the dad was going to die, and i saw this with my best friend who had just lost her dad to suicide, plus her younger brother died of cancer (way before we meet), we could never watch this movie again afterwards !! .

I liked the movie THE BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS & SNAKES, but it didn't come close to the original 4 movies. It was interesting seeing the rise of Snow, & why he developed such contempt for District 12. If u noticed, there were no electrified fences around District 12 in this movie . The people of District 12 could come & go freely to the lake & woods. I think the mini rebellions the Capitol was facing was why the fences went up to further separate the Districts, perhaps it was Snow's idea. In this movie, we find out that it's because of Snow that the Hunger Games became the spectacle it does. I really enjoyed your reaction & commentary.🌹
