The original Carpenters version has a pedal steel guitar which complements the song! This version lacks same and does not sound like the original version!

I like it better than other versions, but as the song goes along there is too much singing in it. I appreciate taking care of certain parts, like "I don't think you understand" but after a while the background vocalist just sort of takes over way too much. Great effort though and I enjoyed singing along!

This song must be made for my voice - no problem whatsoever with keeping up with the vocals and her contralto was right up my alley. We both sing contralto. I ACED IT, and I love this song - always have.

I used to sing this to Maria( she passed away in 2019) and whenever I hear it, it makes my heart sad...but joyful at the same time, that I had such a wonderful lady in my life. I am still faithfully yours, my love! To all the couple out there, take care of each other, you never know when Our Lord will call you home.
