Cpep had pt waiting for hours. She attacked Hp and tried to choke him grabbed his glasses of his face and broke it in her hands. She was very agitated and upset she fell on the floor kicking and screaming, we tried to calm her down with food juice nothing helped she was just horrible. They then told he she had to leave but she wasn't having it all this while she was on the floor. Thts all I can fit for now

As a nurse myself, physical, verbal and emotional abuse is a norm in this career. Very sad but true. Only nurses would understand what we endure especially bedside RN’s.

A patient punched me in my eye. Thanks to my good reflexes, he could only knocked my glasses off. Then all the nurses on the floor rushed to his room and yelled at this guy! We, nurses, take care of each other!

They should make assaulting medical professionals a federal offense! I work in jails and the medical staff constantly get assaulted, threatened, sued at! These are patients who are in jail for charged crimes..but don't let fool you...almost all of them were no law abiding citizens! They sure acted like criminals while in jail, just imagine when they were outside...inmate advocates of course painted them in a very different light! Again, don't be fooled!
