I would not recommend K20, my suggestiong is in facebook marketplace buy a used bose s1 pro without plus version. they sounds much better.

The Everse is definitely cranked on the high end. +11 sounds about right. And the mids have to be cranked to define them. It has a nice extended low end. The Bose wins hands down in definition. Listen to the fifths or low notes on the bass. The fundamental is way more defined. It depends what you are using this for. They are also designed to use for solo musicians and i think the Bose is all over the Everse when you are not playing back pre mastered mixed material.

yeah, tbh, I would be satisfy with either one. They all above average one interesting story, my friend bought bose, I am using ev8, we both sing karaoko, bose seems to better to my ear when I am sing, but ev8 is better for microphone to record, like bose is hifi sound, ev8 is more surrend and digit.

Hi ! Yesterday I received a package with a new Everse 8 battery. I shot a 7-minute video about the EV Electro-Voice backup battery for Everse 8: unpacking and charging the new battery for the first time. Why do the instructions say about 24 hours if the speaker display showed FULL after 2 hours and 22 minutes and turned off? omg, with a backup battery, you can play the whole day! Those kind of battery is easy to maintain, they will cut off charge when full, unlike the drone battery like fpv battery, if you overcharge it will broke once forever.

The Everse 8 is very good for a small speaker system in terms of sound pressure. You can hear it everywhere.

Thanks for the review. Regarding volume, the Everse 8 will not be "four times as loud" as the Bose. It takes a 10 dB increase for people to perceive a doubling in volume. Per published specs, the Everse is only 12Db louder than the Bose, so at best is would be perceived as slightly more than twice as loud as the Bose.

Thanks for the review - very well done! I just want to add another advantage of the EV everse 8. The EV has a knob for master volume whereas the bose s1 pro or plus has none. That was actually one of the reasons I went for the EV after testing it in live settings. It was pretty annoying that you had to adjust all the channels if you wanted to turn everything up or down. Though I just had 3 channels used - mic, guitar and playback - it took me a lot more time to adjust the volume on the Bose. There is also no master controller on the Bose music app with the Bose s1 pro plus. For a live musician that make a major difference! What's your opinion on that? Greetings from Austria, Tobi

Thanks, yes you are right about mix from 3 channels. For my own use case, I play karaoke, so mostly only 2 channel mic and music. for me bose is like a easy entry to use way, while ev you might need a bit of calibration.

yes, ev12 is same system as ev8, it has reverb and delay, and all 30 different kind of echo effect. Pretty similar to bose s1 pro

Hey Eddie, Nice review although I feel EV has a richer bass response, the simplicity of Exoton E-8B would make an affordable stereo pair for my guitar processor.

Thanks for the comment! Yes, nowadays more and more portable pa system has integrate the 3-way mixer and effects inside, which is very convenient. A seperate mixer nowadays is also drop price like 50, but quality durability not sure. From the ads of E-8B they said lifetime warrenty, I am not sure if that is ture. Здравствуйте. Это опять Юрий из России по поводу зарядки Everse 8. Пишу по русски. Автоперевод Ютуба работает нормально, поможет понять друг друга. Помните я спрашивал про изредка появляющиеся мигания на дисплее в режиме зарядки выключенного динамика ? Большой тест зарядки аккумулятора портативной колонки" где показал весь процесс зарядки. С 7 минуты появились первые мигания на дисплее выключенной колонки. Потом иногда время от времени появлялись снова. Весь процесс от начала до конца зарядки аккумулятора Everse 8 занял 2 часа 30 минут, так же как и от обычной электросети.

Спасибо за палец вверх 👍🤝 Да, думаю иногда полезно в этом разобраться. На счёт обновления я неделю назад обновил приложение до версии 2.4.5 и с ней прошивку до версии 1.1.7. Обновлялся отключив wi fi, через сотовые сети, как рекомендуют в приложении. А вчера снял видео как и сколько по времени заряжается когда Everse 8 включен. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sLmGq89ktsuwhHU.htmlsi=P6FLHTT-vuoKVZwP не планировал специально. Друзьям музыкантам в ВК отправлял короткие фрагменты. Потом решил. Да ладно объединю в монтаже и залью. Хуже не будет. Вдруг кто нибудь что то подскажет или может у многих так. В выключенном состоянии заряжается за 2.5 часа, а во включенном за 4.5. Всё так же по таймеру время засекал и всё показал в самом видео.

yes, I tried. Unfortunately, it is my first time using the app, so I can not compare with the previous version. The new app can controll two speaker together, and I set com-50%, treble +4, mid=0, base-4, echo-10db.

Wattage should not be real, if Everse 8 has 400 watts, then Everse 8 battery should only last for 1-2 hr, since almost the same capacity batter on S1 pro last for 5-6hr

Когда максимум громкости на этом уличном тесте сделал kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ptRme6V7vcrbnaM.html и отошёл назад на 45 метров, уже одно деление на индикаторе заряда батареи израсходовалось. 25 % от 100 за каких то несколько минут. Ясное дело что это и от воспроизводимой музыки зависит. Какие нибудь спокойные мелодии, вальсы, баллады, романсы, серенады и тому подобное слушать, аккумулятор будет дольше держать. Разный треш, хард рок, металл, прогрессив транс и так далее, аккумулятор быстрее разрядится.

yes, but as for my usage mostly at home, I think I used most of them less than 50% volume and already loud enough. There are some time I use max volume outside it do draw super fast.

@@Eddie-cs1dk Everse 8, like 12, has three types of volume control. The main page displays the speaker volume, the input volume of the source, and the smooth main volume. During the Armin Van Buren street music test, I set the first two settings to maximum at once and, moving away from the speaker, smoothly increased the main maximum to +10 dB. Under such loads, the battery drains faster. But I had to check it out. I do not know under what conditions the SPL is 121 dB and 6 hours of operation. Since I set all three settings to a maximum volume of +10 dB and, according to the physical properties, the battery capacity is 86 Wh, this cannot be enough for 6 hours of listening to such music with basses, synthesizers and percussion instruments at the same time. I couldn't really calculate it. In that park, already vacationing people were swearing from loud music. There was a playground nearby. But it's hard to believe that this would be enough for 6 hours, if during this maximum volume test the battery has already been discharged by 25%

Yeah just reverb. Ev has more effects than just reverb. Ev also has a feedback suppression, 12 volt power port for wireless receiver

Good afternoon. There is one question that does not calm me down! If you turn off the Everse8 speaker while charging, use the power button to turn it off. After 10 or 15 minutes, the display may start flashing brighter for a few seconds, sometimes briefly, then it will start glowing normally for a long time, then it will start flashing randomly again for a few seconds and so on until it is fully charged. You may not notice it right away. But I noticed this and I don't understand, should this happen when charging the device when it is turned off using the toggle switch? When charging, nothing flashes when the speaker is on. Everything is as usual. The speaker is brand new. It was bought 1.5 months ago. But this phenomenon manifested itself immediately. The first time, it was about 75% charged. I was 100% charged and accidentally saw this. I've never had speakers like this before, and I'm not sure if it's okay or not. I boutght my ev like a month ago. I sing karaoke for 3 times, however I have not charge it again, (total hour less than 10 hours). Let me charge mine and get back to you.

yes, I have a pair of ev8, when they are charged in switch off mode, screen super bright for 25 seconds. Then it back to normal. I think it is normal, when charging. It could be it detect the battery voltage, image you switch off your car front light, your dash screen of speed will be lighter. As for the following one I didn't wait long enough to see it. Btw, it has 3 year warrenty from amazon, I don't really worry about the quality, the only issue might be it is a little bit overpriced when come out for a entire year, no price drop even a little.

Hi! And why were timbres added to Everse 8? they also wrote how many high, medium and low values were added that you need to compare without breaking the alignment. Bose S1 pro, judging by the sound, did not adjust the timbres, otherwise they would have written too. And, therefore, no longer on equal terms. In Everse 8, all frequencies are above zero

@@Eddie-cs1dk in Everse 8 there are installation modes: on a tripod, kickback, monitor. And sound: music, live, speech, club. Is that what you mean? If I were you, I would write in which of these modes the column works. And to compare the sound, it is better to turn off the timbres on both speakers.

@@georgchekinoff239 Thanks, it is in music and tripod mode. Thanks, yeah, but seems like without eq flat ev is pretty bad, but with eq, it is much more powerful and clear than bose. Even I use mic input and turn the bose eq all the way for the treble, it could not reach the clarity level as ev. But one more thing big difference is that bose always give me feel like one spot music source, while ev has a surrending feeling like a sound bar.
