@@olavre it’s a great question and one I was thinking about this past weekend. I should head up and check it out. I can’t imagine it’s doing all that well.

My brother had the sport model - the 1980 GS450S- but same engine. Lasted forever. Those are great engines.

@@DB-fh7fl thank you for the kind words! I’ve been mostly doing managnent work on commercial jobs of late with little things around the house. I still intend to come out with a full two hour presentation of the whole house from trees project.
So Bus, are the adventures of Bus Huxley over or is there a sequel coming? Art from Ohio

We bought some metal "edge pull" handles that kinda hide the handles on top of the cabinets under our apron front sink and love them. Wonder if you could do something like that for the drawers out of scrap wood? And are those bird perches? Too cute!

I bought a new one in 1981 red , it a super fast bike !!! Blew away a lot of 500 and 650’s

Yes! I can’t believe it’s speed. I don’t go too fast on it often but it has a very good top end. It revs and revs!

I have just got one. But it's being a bit of a challenge. The engine runs well once hot. But cold starts a very lumpy lumpy.

Question from a noob: if not weather treated, won't those logs just rot?
@BusHuxley3 ай бұрын
It’s a good question and one you are correct about. It will rot but the hope is to get a decent decade if they’re peeled. Peeling helps keep bugs out and water from Accumulating.

Did you use a ripping chain to cut that in half?
@BusHuxley4 ай бұрын
I didn’t. Just a sharp chain with stock angle. Wasn’t that big and it was June ish so the wood was soft and wet and thusly cut easily.

Hi Bus, I'm Ruben and I live in La Paz, Mexico. I'm considering creating some hiking trails on some privately-owned properties that do not belong to me. I'm reaching out because I would like to seek your advice on this matter. My idea is to generate income by allowing customers to pay for using the trails. Additionally, I would like to formalize my work by signing a contract with the property owners. Could you suggest some important clauses to include in the contract or give me any advice regarding this? Thank you in advance for your help.

Talk about creating a time saver for collecting maple syrup. Curious how much was spent on the tubing and connectors but all in all the time you saved far outweighs what you spent for sure

Hope you will be continuing to post, could i suggest a new project maybe a wooden sailing boat. Have been watching Two blokes build a boat. Sort of shed build cross last of the summer wine( bbc comedy series). No ply wood to be seen. Just an ideal .

What kind of trees are those? Looks like they come out pretty easy. On my timberland most of my trees are hardwood. But hopefully the softwoods will come out as easy. Good job.
