Hi! Can I ask. My husband is getting dirty water even though the filters and resin have been changed. Emptied water from tank in van. Would you know a reason? Any helped would be greatly appreciated

Hi, to answer that I would need more info. What system? How many filters and what kind of filters? Were the filters bought recently or have they been sitting stored somewhere for some time (DI resin has a shelf life)

I have the same resin vessel filled from brand new. I am not sure how to use it. I attached hose water pipe on one end and a hose spray from the other but there is no water coming out. how long does it take for the water to come out or am i doing something wrong?
@WCSkills
@WCSkills 9 күн бұрын
@@PedroKarsan There is an input side and an output side. The water has to go through the input side, from the water passes through the resin, fills the tank, pressurizes and the pushes the water up through the riser tube to the output fitting. I don’t believe it’ll work if it goes in the opposite direction. If you have confirmed you are going in the input and still not working, may I ask if you have any kind of shutoff valve installed that may be in the “off” position? Outside of that, I’d put a call in with where you tank for more trouble shooting.

@@WCSkills I put the hose coming from the tap to the vessel where it says “IN” and a shower hose where it says “out” so I think I have that part right at least. When you say the water passes through the resin, fills the tank. pressurizes and pushes the water up. I imagine this would take some time and wouldn’t be that quick? How long would this normally take?

Always redid mine on a table. But this method is great especially if door is sliding fine. However me I will still do in a table just because of my knee surgeries making it hard for me to get to bottom part door.

I have a really dumb and somewhat unrelated question. I'm almost embarrassed to ask.. how do I best remove the jets?
@WCSkills
@WCSkills 13 күн бұрын
@@lemurdreamur9257 I’m guessing you want to switch from pencil jets to fan jets? Removing jets isn’t an easy process. They are wedged in due to them being “barbed” in shape. They go in much easier than they come out. Also, if you do get them out, you end up having a slightly larger hole and the new jets may not fit in snuggly. If you’re wanting more water on the glass, I’d look at adding a rinse bar or adding jets (if there’s existing holes for that) or making a new set of holes to say, change your brush from a 2 jetted to a 4 jetted. I hope I’ve answered your question.

You still did it wrong. You are spooling the tape on backwards. If you flip it around, it will roll on, you dont have to use fingers to place it where you want it. It spins off the spool and onto the pipe. Try it, it just rolls right on.

A couple questions for ya. I have 15screens to do...so conserving screen material will help in cost savings. Is the window replacement screen directional...meaning does it look/reflect different if material installed in one direction, next screen is rotated 90 to save on replacement stock (screen)? Last question, to help in preventing wrinkles, is it ok to install long side first, then go to opposite side.....finishing shorter ends last? Thanks for any help offered. Great video by the way.
@WCSkills
@WCSkills Ай бұрын
@@oldschool9622 unless it’s some special designed screen, direction won’t matter. As far as doing long sides first, you could try one and see how it cones out. I can’t say for certain. Partly depends on screen frame integrity.

Great video as you've already read 100 times. Question regarding building new frames... As you know, new frame material bows out to allow for tightening of the mesh. Do you have any recommendations how to accommodate for that to get straight frames when done? I'd assume prerolling the screen into the channel wouldn't be recommended since you would be following the outward bow of the frame? Maybe I'm overthinking it, but figured I'd ask. Thanks!
@WCSkills
@WCSkills Ай бұрын
@@brettkeeler4992 sometimes I will pin the 4 corners as in this video but also in the middle as well, so it pulls in the bowing a bit, but not 100%. It also depends on the screen frame manufacturer and how strong their rails are.

@@WCSkills Got it, that make sense! Thank you. Do you mind sharing what framing materials you get and from where? I been using a good source at about $0.60/ft in bulk, but I'm always looking out for other options for good quality and price.
