Hi Joel Hayden I noticed this video is from 3 years ago....I read studies lately that the vitamins Preserv Areds 2 contains 80 mg of Zinc that is too much and can actually make the eyesight worse instead of better on some people... Do you have any updated information for those who already have been diagnosed with (AMD) Age-related Macular Degeneration?

I looked up the subject because I’ve been having issues with my eyes, not wanting to focus far away after reading or looking at things up close. I don’t have any diseases of the eye and have been taking fish oil for over a year now. I did start taking CoQ10 about three weeks ago and just recently noticed that my eyes focus well when I look up after reading and watching things up close. I was curious if this had anything to do with the CoQ10 I started taking. I am taking 200mg daily

My daughter had TMJ arthroscopy done and woke up with a very "beet red" left eye. Nurses and anesthesia team downplayed her pain and irritation and told me to take her to urgent care in the morning if it persisted. I did and there was "extensive corneal abrasion. Urgent care told me to take her to an emergent eye clinic at the hospital for further care asap. I did and it was actually found that her entire cornea was ripped off as well as some of the white of her eye! She had a contact patch put over the exposed eye and has been doing drops four times per day. One week later and still recovering, still has blurry vision.

It's frustrating when the allowance if for the frames, but it doesn't cover the lenses. I like my frames and just want to get my lenses updated, but the lenses aren't covered by Davis. Which makes no sense that contact lens are covered and they're essentially equivalent to the lens on a pair of glasses.

I recently had something like this come out of my eye. I was driving my car when suddenly my vision got blurry and it felt like something was in my eye. I pulled over and looked in the mirror. I had a long skinny white thing coming out of my eye near the tear duct. I grabbed it and pulled it out. Once it was out, my vision was back to normal again. This was the weirdest thing I've ever experienced.

I don't wear makeup, put my hair in a bonnet, wash my face, eyes, day and night, and have since I was a child. Have rarely worn makeup. I do everything you say in this video, to no avail. This is dietary, and a gut issue. Oxalate, too. Mine recurs when I eat carbohydrates, sugar, etc and goes away when I eat high-fat carnivore. I eat lots of fish on my carnivorous diet.

I ordered presbyopia eye drops by XIMonth made in China. Are these safe? I thought they were being recommended by Dr Barbara the naturopath. I don’t know if she actually did though. These aren’t FDA improved?? Please respond with an answer.

Hi, great content, would Lutein, Zeaxanthin, Astaxanthin, Resveratrol and CQ10 help stop the spread of Epiretinal Memebrane? My 13 year old daughter has it and while its not over her retina, its around it and has spread over 2 years. Any advise is greatly appreciate. Blessings.

I know this video is 3 years old, but I still feel the need to refute your description of AMD. i have the advanced form of AMD called geographic atrophy and I still can see quite a bit. There is no black spot in the middle of my vision because my brain is able to fill in much of the field of vision I have lost. I do have trouble with faces until I am pretty close but I was able to see your face on the video quite well. Normally, faces are just s skin colored blur until I'm close to the person. I can no long read regular print easily but I usually can with a magnifier. I am able to read on my iPad at the largest font setting. There are also talking books for the blind and visually impaired that are totally free and usually administered by a nearby library. I'm saying this because I feel your description was very frightening for people. AMD is not devastating but it does require an adjustment to how you do things. Not being able to drive is one of the biggest adjustments but there are alternative forms of transportation. There are also adaptive technology devices, support groups and low vision clinics that can help you cope. I was diagnosed with AMD more than 10 years ago and I am leading a very independent and fulfilling life.

Absolutely right Dr. it should be part of ones overall yearly or at least by-yearly health check! On another note, I found your channel because, while my 13 year old daughter is asymptomatic, she has developed an atypical ERM around her RE macula that has progressed over the past 2 years. The family is now living with this like a cloud over our heads 😔 We have been told there is no diet that can reverse the condition, only surgery. But I can't stop thinking, could diet help prevent its spread? or the addition of certain nutrients help improve her eye health? She does have 20/20 vision, but has and still does have, eye strain. We have opted to do some sessions with the optometrist, to teach her to relax her eyes. She spends a lot of time on her iPad, due to school studies and down time. I'm putting in place blue light prevention, based on your other videos. Anything you could share with us would be greatly appreciated. Many blessings. 🙏
