Dave, you make it look so easy! Even the fast and "medically significant" spiders can't faze you. Thanks for another great video of a beautiful spider.

I have somewhat mild arachnophobia. I don't mind looking at or being near spiders as long as it doesn't touch me. A lot of tarantulas I've read up on and watched videos on have never seemed both as bolty AND defensive as the CB. Very scary when she just bolted out the enclosure at the beginning, so fast! You're a lot calmer than I would've been xD

Hey Dave! I highly doubt you’ll see this since it was so long ago but I’ll still give it a go. I’m just watching this now, while catching up on everything I missed. And I just want to say that I’m so happy. When I was forced there take a break from the Internet, I honestly didn’t expect you to take notice at all. And now I come back and I find out that you were basically freaking out about my whereabouts. Because of this, you should know why I was gone for 2 years. You see Dave, my parents found my KZfaq account (I would’ve been 17) and they didn’t like what I wrote, and how much I wrote. I had my account taken away. And I was forbidden from even watching my favourite channels. Especially near the beginning of that 2 years, I was very sad. I didn’t know if you would notice I had left or anything. And I had lost a major factor of joy. I’m super happy to be back Dave. I must’ve watched the last part 2 million times.

Hey Dave! I haven’t watched this one yet (I’m catching up on what I’ve missed for two years first. I’m off work for a few days so I’m going to try to get caught up), I just finished your fruit fly culture video. But I wanted to share a funny experience with you that I think you’ll enjoy. And also one that I think will make you smile. Tonight, I was in the living room with my family, watching your channel. One of the juvie funnel webs were on screen and my step father goes: that’s gross, why are we watching this? And I go: because it’s my main guy, Dave. Then he goes: you still watch this guy? I go: you bet ya. I’m probably his biggest supporter. Thought you’d get a kick out of that, Dave. The other experience: my room is in the basement of the house. In my region, we get a variety of small spiders. None who are able to cause you any real harm. I have my own personal bathroom and I often find spiders in there, by the shower and stuff. What I do is I grab a catch cup and I repeat your famous words in my head. Be calm, be gentle & love your spider. And I catch them up and I let them free in the yard. Hope you see this & reply Dave. Man, I’ve missed your channel.

Some people will never understand humidity and such, or how to keep all their different tarantula's in the first place.. they just don't have it in them, no matter how hard we try. 😅

And yes some terrestrials like the T. albopilosum will get their feet stuck in the mesh tops occasionally.

I've found that rehouses go a lot smoother when they are having a feed. its a tactic I use on the flightier faster species.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I’ve always been scared to death of all spiders but I’m trying to get over my fear. Got my first Tarantula last weekend, Xenethis Intetmedia Blue Bloom. She is approximately a year old. Very pretty. Trying to watch all your videos and absorb as much as I can. Your videos are wonderful.

Poecilotheria metallica, regalis, trigrinawesseli and fasciata, are quite good behaving, but Rufilata.. All i can say is, definetly some carefulnes is recommended.. My rufilata is truly very fast, very reactive and bolty, truly not beginner or even intermediate spider.. Needs time and patience when rehousing and doing any care. Im used to deal with these but this one can definetly make me rethink my actions 😅 Amazing spider, but truly needs some nerves 😅
