This does not work. This only applies if the lever breaks off and has a flat surface for you to drill in. But more than likely over the years, it may seized in and it’s nearly impossible to pull out. The other alternative is to replace the pivot. This tiny piece is very expensive for what it is. But you could probably get a good deal by using another generic GM part instead of a specific Corvette part .

Helpful video, FYI I have a 4 post drive up rack in my garage and doing it on that was a breeze on my 72 coupe. Since the car is on its wheels and there is no load on the diff. Had the old bushings and bolt out in 10 minutes. No removing the driveshaft or the rear diff carrier bolts.

On the later 80-82 the leaf spring end bolt nuts removed takes the tension off and it ban be pried with little effort.

Sir, I bought from Hot Rod Company Washington State last year. I spent 10 thousand and was on their special list I.e. paid more to get it done more priority set by my spending more.. Long story short, I’d pull a valve cover Sir, they just “grind away material” from those heads to make the valve pushrods clear.. yeah, they grind away material and do not perform a “valve geometry” properly… “You will see evidence given uneven wear Sir, I’m correcting mine myself as I’d never deal with them again!” I’d look under those valve covers, roller tips will show much “uneven” wear… time bomb up top…

@@hungry875boat6 this happens to me once in a while if it happens i just pop the hood an tab the choke lever with my finger and it pops out instantly. Its rare now since the carb was rebuilt.

I don’t understand using the printed circuit board?? Is it reinstalled and used or just a reference? It seems sketchy without using the center connector or the attachment points of all the old gauges. I must be missing something?!

The circuit board is screwed in place. If you look closely there holes for it to line up. It’s then clamped by the smoked plate.

TH400 IS A MUCH BETTER TRANSMISSION BY FAR. CHANGE AXLE RATIO TO 3:73 AND ADD A GEAR VENDORS OVER DRIVE UNIT.

The fan is working AWESOME!! The dcc controller was working but was upgraded to the pro Flo 4 fuel injection control
