another nostalgic list. I watched some of these "highly praised" older movies and some of them are actually good but others are trash. Yes they were good back then, but not today.

Impressive list. I would have added Fight Club and Fury Road. It's so great to see someone putting Blade Runner so far up top. Also PTA's The Master.

I love that you gave David Lynch recognition. I watch a lot of these videos and no one has FWWM or Blue Velvet. I understand everyone's taste is different but those are very important films. Both in subject matter and effect. This is a great list

List is pretty solid. But... Watched children of men because it was on the list. Absolute slopfest would never recommend or watch again. Also +respect for not having godfather at #1.

David Lynch is the most overrated director right now. He creates mystery by including stuff that doesn’t make sense, but because the main plot is cohesive and a few things have explanations they assume everything is there for a reason. Really it’s Lynch playing a joke on us.

Pretty good ecclectic list. A good mix of older and international titles. For me though Shawshank Redemtion, The Exorcist, Network have to be on there. Also surprised there were no Tarantino movies. I also love the Korean thriller the Wailing.

And I'm also missing "Braveheart" on the list. It's a true 10 out of 10.

Seems like you missed one of my favorite movies. "A Beautiful Mind" with Russell Crowe. That one should be on everyone's list.

Thank you for such an inspired list, your taste in,& understanding of, great cinema is impeccable. For me, 2001 will always be #1. A slight whinge - remove John Hughes, replace with Bresson, a Godard, more Bergman. But really, a lovely lovely video. You're tops. Oh, and Nyman's music from Gattaca...nearly forgot.

It was a great list bro. 80% of it, is in my top 300 movies. If you add some silent films, some italian and french masterpiece, more bergman and replace polanski and lynch with Luis Buñuel, your list will become my absolute favorite.

I only have 2 movies to praise: 1. The lord of the rings trilogy. (the most beautiful movie of all time in terms of how they presented each scene. the very definition of cinema) 2. Kung fu hustle. Can't really explain it. But i think you'll understand after you've watched it. (don't watch the dubbed version). This movie is pure fun and entertainment
