Great quick video. I know it’s just a drill but at 02:15 the hand lands to the side. INJURY RISK: Sometimes in drills we focus on one area of the jump and forget to follow though with the rest. As an athlete and coach, I’m less concerned about loosing distance and more concerned with injury!!! When you try and CATCH YOURSELF using you arms it’s very common to injure your wrists!

Only if their left foot is there dominant foot. He most likely forgot about left handed jumpers and also the fact that the athlete used as the example was right handed

Thanks. GOD bless, JESUS CHRIST loves you, HE died for you, to give you life and life more abundantly! For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Does this same principle apply to standing jumps? I do parkour. In parkour most jumps are from standing and I am struggling to gain decent distance.

He has good form not excellent. He has a lean to the right side that could be fixed. There would not be a lean forward or to the sides if it was excellent form.
