Berberine works for me. My blood sugar is down now below 100 usually. One side effect, which wasn't a problem for me was loose weight. Had to buy pants with waist 2 inches smaller. Doctor was pushing ozempic. I tried his recommended farziga.... pricey and had horrible side effects. I will stick with Berberine since it works for me.

Why no memory? That bugs the hell out of me, not knowing who was in the OR. I heard a lot of unethical and inappropriate things happen to unconscious female patients. I so resent my surgeon for using general anesthesia, especially since it was my first surgery. Nothing was explained to me by anyone and I'm still fuming about that. I still think I was violated in some way. Will have to talk to a lawyer about this.😣😣

Oh quit sugar coating it. Anesthesia is a drug induced coma. Going to sleep, my foot!!!!! I can't believe some people still believe it's sleep. You're damn unconscious and the scary thing is they don't know how Anesthesia works to put people under. They just hope for the best, not knowing how the outcome will be. We're being lied to by the medical community all the time. If I had known any of this before, I would have never had surgery at all. It was my very first one ever and it consisted of: no meeting of the anesthesiologist, no memory of the OR, never saw it, bleary-eyed recovery, ng tube and catherised during surgery since I woke up with that crap in me. I never got to advocate for myself and I'm furious things were done to me with no explanation. NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I’ve been dealing with this for a while now. As soon as I got on a fiber and water diet it seems to have gotten better. Sometimes it’s super painful to use the bathroom and other times it’s easy. Probably gonna go to the doctor soon just to be safe and make sure it heals fully cuz it’s on and off for me.

I had my first knee done 9 yrs ago & I swore never again at the time! Now I'm extremely glad I had it done as I've had a good outcome, even though I never achieved full flexion, but close. Now the 2nd knee job is looming in a few weeks. I'm preparing myself, been exercising at the local Y for months ahead. My knee hurts all the time & at the age of 72, my husband and I want to get back into hiking, which I can't do at all right now. Even though I know what to expect and the amount of pain involved, I'm looking forward to it & thinking positively.

Very interesting doctors. I had a spinal when I smashed my knee. I do not recall getting thecspinal. In pre op hold the nurse gave so meds. I fell asleep. I woke up 2 times during the surgery. Once my leg was in a noose like up in the air. The pain post op. Was intense. I enjoy your talk it is so informative. Thank you.

Mine is so bad that I can have it any time during the day or night. I also have the syndrome in my arms. I once thought a weighted blanket would help, and I kicked it off of me, and it was 20lbs! I’m not sleeping at night, but will doze off during the day. I am taking supplements, because I do have a tendency to be anemic. Also I take ropinerole for it, and it wears off. I can’t sit in a car for long periods of time. Oh and I’m perimenopausal.

I developed this from lifting luggage repeatedly on a three week vacation. And continually irritated it during the trip by picking up small children. No more traveling with someone else’s little kids and their luggage! Very frustrating as I was unable to get to occupational therapy until 6 months after the injury. I hope I-will be able to heal after this long. Also, most of my pain was in my forearm muscles opposite on the top of my arm from elbow to thumb

Its funny they don't talk about the natural miracle DSMO and how to use it. A secret the industry does not want you to know about.. if they do they will down play it and talk negative about it and probably say its not for humans. LOL

I had this on my side last year. Nothing was there and within a week I was being rushed into surgery and was in hospital for 3 weeks. It was excruciating and smelled like a portapotty on a hot summer day. I went to a walk in and they said it was cellulitis. 2 days later it was taking over my whole side. Went to emergency and they said it was a deep infection and to put hot compresses to bring it to surface. Worste thing ever. I went back to the emergency and refused to leave. They brought in a disease specialist and gave me 5 minutes to call my husband and rushed me into emergency surgery. I was lucky they got it all the first round. Took almost 6 months to heal and close the huge hole that started on my stomach all the way to my back. They had me on every antibiotic they had continuously for 4 days until they discovered what caused it.

Going for a TKR in 3 weeks. This video has excellent info for recovery. One thing aside. Please let the PT Andrea know that the word is impor-TANT. NOT impoor-INT. And straighten. NOT stray-IN. Still great info that I will utilize after my surgery. Thank you.

most of my pain that I attribute to my knees is not in the knee itself but pain in the leg muscles below and above the back of the knee. I do have occasional pain in the knee itself but not enough to want a new knee. My GP says that the leg pain is coming from the knee but Iam not so sure??

You guys are great….can you talk about supplements and if there are any you’d recommend? How about L Reuteri Yogurt? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I make it and eat it daily but it’s made with half and half, seems like a lot of fat to me. Jim B.

Remember to put everything up above your waist you will use such as pots and pans, personal items, clothing. Be sure you have some larger underwear and stretchy pants as you get a lot of swelling, etc.

I just today saw something that said Turmeric could cause ED or a reduction in sex drive? Since there is so much talk about the good it does nd I have been taking or using turmeric for a few years now, coincidentally about the same time I started noticing my decline! Where can you find out whether this is true or just more fake KZfaq news?

Had NF 2021 and the infection started in my left eye. For the people wondering how it starts, it can be anything. A small scratch on a leg while cutting the hedge, a mosquito bite during the summer. Or in my case, a sore eye that I tried to clean with some cotton pads, but apparently I was instead introducing Strep A bacteria to it. It took little more than 14 hours from my eye started to swell a bit (with no pain) until I was in full septic shock in the intensive care unit with no pulse in my arms and legs. I am glad to be alive, but also, as someone wrote further down, "I never really saw success" which is accurately put. There is so much emotional trauma from all the pain, the surgeries and the loss of function. This disease leaves you broken.
