Used to hang out at First Avenue in my 20's. Seen and met the bands Danzig, Testament and Korn their before they got big back in he early 90's. I am 54 years oldnow and hardly recognize any of those streets any more.

The library looks pretty much like the old one did and I'm glad they stopped making the skyway go to it, that would be for a crack run

It doesn't look like very many people use it considering the population. Maybe it is too confusing or maybe people just don't like mazes.

Visited Ely on our way to Canada. We were at the top Main Street, walking down, enjoying the shops. I went inside a shop to look and go to the bathroom. When I rejoined my wife , outside, she was laughing, hysterically. I asked what happened. She dsaid a guy on his skateboard bombed the hill. Right down the road on a skateboard, and I missed it. Do the Rootbeer lady?”

We used to wander around the skyways in the middle of the night in college. Now they close when the offices close due to crime and homelessness. I wish the city would invest more in the skyways so that they were more accessible to everyone, and not just office workers. The lack of public bathrooms is also annoying.

In 8th grade I pooped my pants in the Zups in this town. I think this contributed to my parent's divorce.

I remember walking through the skyway about 25 years ago on a daily commute. I remember a stationary store, Daytons, and a small display showing vintage pictures from the Winter Carnival. I remember it seeming a little more seedy and crowded. It used to close up right after 5 pm and I wondered how anyone could live in downtown St. Paul with it becoming a ghost town at that time of day.

I am a remote worker returning to office. The streets in your recent videos look more comfortable than those shot a year ago or earlier. More commuters, more comfortable looking.

I avoid walking across that bridge. Cyclists always nearly hit you while walking. Not a walkable bridge at all.

😪Wow Down Town Minneapolis, MN, use to be a beautiful place during the Christmas Season just like the big Apple the department stores had there electric animated dolls and scenes of Santa or others up and running all day and night also the street light poles were all decorated with the festive season also. This long before the homeless people or the wanna be thugs rob the stores blind and made the whole of down town look shabby and run down with themselves running around robbing, assaulting, and other criminal active trying to make themselves look like important nothings. They won for now but nothing lives forever so it be just a matter of time they will die out like the big mean dinosaurs did and the peace, hard working, drug free people will be wanted and needed more then ever.
