Great delivery and I like the progressive tempo. Wholehearted vocals.

Until today I had never heard of James McMurtry - and I've been on this planet for seventy one years. I'm flicking through various tracks and wow, how have I never come across this guy. In truth, I'm not sure how he appeared on my paly list. Glad he did.

Greensboro was AMAZING! We were at the back of the arena on the first level up from the floor in the mix with a whole bunch of exuberant fans and it was a wonderful night. From my vantage point I think most of the crowd stood up all night 😂, but the Jumbotrons were a huge help. And I think we all sang every word to every song. The Boss and company proved that they definitely know what they’re doing, and IMHO no one does it better.❤

What a fantastic night! It amazes me that Bruce and the band are able to maintain the pace that they do; but I’m so grateful that they’re still sharing the music with us.❤️

Thanx for uploading all your video's. Seems one of the best shows in the US especially the interaction with the public.. Greetz from the Netherlands.

Long time fan, but was not familiar with this song. Definitely a new favorite. First time seeing the Boss in concert last night and what a show he puts on. Simply incredible. To maintain the energy level he does over three hours at age 73 is remarkable. His whole entourage was fantastic. Thanks for sharing this clip BanjoBandit!

In Cologne, Germany he mixed Darlington County with Honky Tonk Women. Just incredibel. I thought the audience tear the whole arena down. In June I'll bei there in Düsseldorf, Germany.

thank you for uploading this, I didn't realize from the recording that he was playing the song with a capo on 5, that makes it a lot easier

omg, drop the tabs please :P
@terists5 ай бұрын
@@clitcommander666 oh it's all super easy basic chords once you slap the capo on 5: Walk right by me...: C Em Am Dm ...There's always room for one more...: G C F G Those are the chords the whole way through the rest of the song. For that last G I just slide the F up two frets rather than playing an open G; sounds better + gives more variety

Lyrics: Busted flat in Baton Rouge, headin' for the trains, Feelin' nearly faded as my jeans. Bobby thumbed a diesel down just before it rained, Took us all the way to New Orleans. Took my harpoon out of my dirty red bandana And was blowin' sad while Bobby sang the blues, With them windshield wipers slappin' time and Bobby clappin' hands we finally sang up every song That driver knew. Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose, And nothin' ain't worth nothin' but it's free, Feelin' good was easy, Lord, when Bobby sang the blues, And buddy, that was good enough for me, Good enough for me and my Bobby McGee. From the coalmines of Kentucky to the California sun, Bobby shared the secrets of my soul, Standin' right beside me through everythin' I done, And every night she kept me from the cold. Then somewhere near Salinas, Lord, I let her slip away, She was lookin' for the love I hope she'll find, Well I'd trade all my tomorrows for a single yesterday, Holdin' Bobby's body close to mine. Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose, And nothin' left was all she left to me, Feelin' good was easy, Lord, when Bobby sang the blues, And buddy, that was good enough for me. Good enough for me and Bobby McGee.
