Thanks for taking the time to film and make a well produced video. Against the odds, I'm taking my wife, our 2.5y/o son and 6mo. little girl. Fly fishing in nameless mountains has always been special to me. This is something I want to share with them. Great video and good reminder - walking in with the expectation that I may not even wet a line is a good start.

@@pikeonthefly13 It really depended on the day... (which I know is a terrible answer). Sometimes it was nicer to be on a lighter, more nimble rig. Other times, a larger size was super helpful when there was more of a breeze.

Awesome video! Which of the redeyes are your favorite? I'm kinda partial to the Warrior myself, love catching those guys!
@dorsaloutdoorsАй бұрын
Warrior bass make you *earn* it so much respect for you there! It's a tough call for us-- Coosa bass have such a wide range in beautiful areas, Tallapoosas have such a striking coloration... and then Cahabas would *technically* be our home fish. So can we cheat and say... it depends on the day?
@BreamBassBeyondАй бұрын
@dorsaloutdoors I love them all too, the Warrior is my home fish so I may be a little biased! I can be at a creek that has them in a matter of minutes!

Thanks Dave! The camera was definitely in the splash zone (about an hour later it ended up in the water but the footage was miraculously preserved on the cards) And yeah- that’s the wildness of documenting the outdoors- you *never* know when the fish are going to put on a show!

We really loved throwing 9s in this context. A little more punch than an 8… but more precision than a 10. As technical as that sounds it was more for keeping the poppers out of the mangroves and into the water haha

@@koltowenby10 Depends what you want-- more fish? Definitely sub-surface. More fun? Definitely topwater. We honestly fish topwater 99% of the time (even in the cold) because that's what we find the most fun in! They were hitting some poppers yesterday, so it's worth a try!

the video would be nicer if you didn't talk so much. I can't stand this American method of making videos and constantly talking about them. interrupt what is the magic of fishing and that is silence. fishing also means enjoying the moments, a fishing video should have more silence and more action. so shut up a bit
