They were not taking attendance for years until Amador got in, we found massive embezzlement and corruption all over the school, and while you were there with Kayla, Alma was the worst performing Charter school In the entire state of New Mexico. You all cheated those children out of education, cheated tax payers out of their money, and left Amador and his team an absolute mess he’s still cleaning up. @@ChipsNSalsaShow you got it all wrong. When the school board including Mr. Padilla telling me that I was being back film class back to the way it was before. As for Kayla that on her. I’m not vouching for her because she put me in a spot as well. I took attendance of my students and I have my spreadsheets. I’ll prove them to you. I’ve got nothing to hide. I did everything I could to help those students. All my problematic students, never gave me a hard time. I held them accountable and I always stood up for them when Cecilia Romero was yelling at them. I would tell her to stop yelling at them cuz they already had a hard time outside the walls and they didn’t need to come to school and get treated like crap because she couldn’t control herself. One of the biggest problems was Cecilia Romero and Kimberly Skaggs. When I get students seeking me to come hang out with me and help them do their homework, or specifically ask me to walk them to class, that means they liked me and trusted me. I always put down my work and sit down to listen to them no matter what I had going on. I just recently received a text from one of my of the mothers of one of the most problematic students and she stated that he has gone to finish his credits via online and that I inspired him to continue film at DACC. That obviously says something about my demeanor on how I taught my students.

@@ChipsNSalsaShow as for you saying I cheated the students and the tax payers, then that would mean I’d be cheating myself as well! I am a tax payer too. Why would I do that??!! That’s you just reaching for something to grab onto. You don’t even know me! Kayla made things hard for us there. I’m not vouching for her. I’m vouching for me! Myself! And I! Between Cecilia and Amador I was locked out of my classrooms and forced to teach in the gymnasium. I had to ask the IT guy permission to let me into my classroom but his response is I had to ask Cecilia or Amador to get access to my classroom to teach. Never were they available in time to open my classroom so, I had to sit in the gym to teach my class with no equipment or materials. So, those days I had to just help them with their homework. My hands were tied behind my back and no matter how much I complained, they just would shut me out.

@@erickirker nobody is perfect and there’s two sides to every story. The data shows abysmal performance by Kayla and for years before that. The data now shows Dr. Amador performing well especially given all the circumstances it is what it is

And that’s great to hear. I’m glad he’s doing that school justice, but what I experienced from him was one day he is telling me he’s proud of me for doing what I’m doing and that I am the only teacher who’s actually making an effort and bringing in money to a school that is hurting from a financial point of view. I understand all about the issues at hand and why money didn’t come in. My job was affected too. I bent over backwards trying to be a positive change in that school, even after my son’s mother was brutally murdered by her husband. I didn’t move back to Phoenix and stayed at Alma teaching these students. My son was 16 years old when she died, but yet I still stayed to teach other people’s kids. That school was NOT functioning the way it should have and it gets me upset because those students deserve way more than a bunch of faculty members treating them like they didn’t matter. I even volunteered to be basketball coach along with the main coach. We both busted our butts and I never saw a single dime of the stipend that was promised to me and I never followed up and asked for it. I enjoyed those kids, and they enjoyed my teaching. I don’t wish bad on anyone cuz I am no one to judge, but I do call people out who have done wrong. That’s why Cecilia didn’t like me and she ended up getting into so many ears about me and even others who she didn’t like. But it is what it is. I wish all the students I had the pleasure and honor in teaching them that they continue their education and always caring for others in need. I’ve had three students continue their education at NMSU or DACC. One of them even came back while I was in Kayla’s office to thank me in showing them film and that they wanted to let me know they continued their education.

So you know attendance wasn’t being taken? And you knew weed was being smoked on campus in front of administrators and students? And you know Kayla’s husband is up on Fentanyl charges?

@@ChipsNSalsaShow hey I took my attendance and I have proof! I still have my spreadsheets. More than welcomed to see them. I never smelled weed but vaping, that happens all the time and we had countless encounters with the students and searched their backpacks. Romeo was on them constantly. I personally never encountered weed. The restrooms have vape detectors, staff/faculty would get text messages/alerts so one of use would run down to the restroom to try and catch who it was. Caught many of the students red handed. As for Kayla, yes I knew her husband was not on the right path, and I also got threatened by him to come and do me harm as I walked out of school for something I knew nothing about but Romero surely did and didn’t tell me. So, I knew to stay my distance from him. There was no accountability from any staff member there. The poor kids got the crap end of the deal.

@@ChipsNSalsaShow I tried to do a lot for that school and Romero was a big problem for all of us. I earned a grant by writing an essay for a CTE grant and governor of NM loved my essay and awarded the school a 10k grant. But that was for the last year I was there. Before that I used all of my own equipment and materials cuz that school was not set up to run a film program or a special fx class. I spent lots of my own money trying to teach the students, but I earned the students respect. They loved film class. But never got recognition for earning the school 10k for going above and beyond. They kept my 37 wall flats/ partitions and a few of my sound and lighting equipment. They escorted me out and Amador couldn’t even look me in the face after Romero got into his ear. I even contracted a million dollar movie to film there and negotiated a 5k a day to film at the school. I made money for that school when they were in dire need and Romero made it hard for me and the students. Kimberly Skaggs was so impressed with the movie project my students were doing and so was NMSU. They interview me and my students. But at the end of the day, they all stopped talking to me because Romero was out planting negative seeds and I’ve got some more shady stuff that was done. Like calling me to keep it hush, hush, so other teachers wouldn’t find out. Amador is a coward and he knows it.
