The studder effect is basically me moving forward while quick saving and quick loading. It wouldn't studder as much If I didn't move at all, but holding forward helps me get to the end quicker than if I just stood still, and allows me to get a few more save loads off. The point of the quick saves and loads is as Maty said, it saves time throughout the level once the truck is activated. The truck is basically moving on a path towards the end of the level and I'm supposed to meet it there. Doing these save/loads it progresses the truck forward, I believe around a few hundred milliseconds per load. It may not seem like much, but add two or three dozen of these and you'll be saving multiple seconds. We found this works on other levels too that involve scripted objects. An example would be the third level "tram" where around six loads typically allows the activated tram to arrive just a little over two seconds earlier than it would without any loads. Cheers.

Thanks, I just wish I kept the same split layout so the transitions would have been smoother. :[

Close game! Thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I was 15 when this was happening, happily playing ET on the European 'Sunny Servers', unaware that there was such a thing as Quakecon, never mind an ET tournament going on in another part of the world! Man, I miss this game.

Got this recommended randomly but i must say you are doing gods work with the quality and casting included. I was a cod2/4 main but ET will always hold a special place in my memories. Had tons of fun on public servers way back when.

What was your alias back then? I see you have to have changed your alias. I started playing again.

It's nearly always been VoRg. I saw you post on TWL Discord the other day. If you're MaTt0 I believe we even played on the same team in a TWL season or a few ladder matches. I have replays with you in them as well. Long time no see. Cheers.

Thanks a lot. There's plenty others I can upload for sure. :D Just have to sit down and record some. I do plan on it in the future.

Hey bud, I meant to ask you the other day if you know of any places that have archives of old twl/cal demos? I hate how much from ET has just been lost to time🥲. I've lost so much stuff just going through hard drives and new PCs over the years without backing up everything up😑. I really miss ET-Center too with the forums, predictions, stocks, etc.

@@Mkbyt Man, I know how you feel. Old hard drives and new pc's were always a loss. We do have some old replays but nothing like we used to that's for sure. As far as archives of old twl/cal I would give that a no, at least that I know of. Gamestv.org has a few old North American matches but that's only a fraction. Me and Ceres do have the bulk of the CommissioN ETTV files among others, but you present a good idea having archives. We've thought about it before but we might need to revisit the concept. Thanks +1
