that's the non performance one, it's not very fast. The performance one is close to 500hp gas. the Gen2 Rivian in TriMotor or Quad... even at 7000 pounds, it's a BEAST!

5 start tuning has KZfaq video on track showing 12 sec quarter mile. WIth more modes than just e50 tune ie meth etc. R1S estimated by car and driver ranges between 11.1 and 13.1 depending on setup. R1S is near 7,000 lbs and has top speed of 110 on Gen1. Short of quad motor the Explorer with mods will out perform.

lol k. Stock st is a 13s car. Rivian is an 11s car. Unless that thing is heavily modified, you’re gonna have a bad time and it will be terribly unreliable. I’ll take the rivian any day.

Looks like a dual motor or dual motor performance plus, the quad motors have the yellow brake calipers.

In ANY real race the Rivian would destroy your Explorer. Good grief if that thing was in Launch Mode you would have need binos to see the back of it after 5 seconds. Granted EV range isn't near the same as ICE but pure drag race no ICE can come close. Go watch the Cybertruck towing a porche while racing a porche. It beats it bad. The Cybertruck is horrific ugly but pure performance ICE vehicles are WAY outmatched. That Rivian if it is the quad motor has over 800 HP. Double the Explorer. Instant torque as well.

@@XpolrerST the lighter weight helps but the instant torque would gp you bad enough you'd never catch up. No combustion engine can match the instant torque. Top end you probably have more top end but instant torque would gap you to bad to ever catch it in a drag race of any normal distance.

Watch the engineering explained video on how the cybertruck didn’t actually beat the Porsche. Yea it’s fast but it didn’t beat the Porsche in a quarter mile drag race. He has a video with the math side and one where they actually did the race

@@XpolrerST idk, your receipts show that you ran a 3.72 sec 0-60 on your way to an 11.78. I'm not a mathematician but I'm pretty sure 3.7 is slower than 3.3, and 11.78 is slower than 11.6. But hey, with just a few more mods, you'll be just as quick as a mid-performance Rivian!

No argument but if the owner knew how to use the Rivian it would DESTROY any ICE vehicle. The latest Rivian R1T which is identical to the R1S in power did 0-60mph on a drag strip in under 2.79 seconds. STOCK vehicle. No special tires.

We have an ST in our fleet, nice car and very fast for an SUV. But 0-60 5.2 seconds (stock) vs 3.0 in our R1Ts. Mods will make the ST quicker but not by that much. A quad motor in sport mode will walk just about everything this side of a Tesla as has been shown on many formal drag race videos. The ST sure sounds better though.

@mjsprouse E50 Tuned ST with Intercooler 0-60 3.5-3.7 11.6-11.8. In this video, I guess it's a dual motor, so for this Rivian, it's clearly not faster. I understand the Quad motor is faster but in this video it says otherwise.

Fun video. I wonder what the outcome would be if the Rivian was in "Sport Mode"? You can tell by the ride height that it was in "Normal, or Conserve Mode", which limits the power.

@@XpolrerST You can tell he stopped accelerating because regen kicked in and the hood dipped down. These don't have transmissions, so if you see the dip, you know the accel pedal is off and braking has started.

Nope, direct bolt on. If you haven't I would get ARP head studs those heads aren't going to last long. Mine lasted about 2 years on 34psi

I gotta get a better cam set up. I smoked 2016 SS with cam intake exhaust e85 tuned… wasn’t even close my dude. Mine is down at the moment upgrading fuel pump from xdi Evo to nostrum and running the meth kit, then hitting the road with my360 camera searching for victims!!!

@@XpolrerST call up pro meth. They were awesome and basically put my kit together based off what I was wanting to accomplish. A few hundred more than the snow, but it’s worth it, the quality and parts used are superior and the tank I got for the storage is perfect, I’m hoping to have it installed this weekend and upload some videos on my page. I am just waiting for my ghost mount to arrive and I’m ready!!

Awesome !!! BTW as 12 FBO tuned Mustang owner I've been gapped pretty bad 0-75mph By my Brother in laws 2020 Explorer St. Stock I was not that impressed it was mid 13s @104 mph. With AFE Momentum GT Cold Air Intake, 5 star tune on 93, CVF Performance Intercooler. the Explorer picked up 6 mph @ .75 seconds 12.7 @110mph. Ultimate sleeper I would imagine with e50/tuned you would have to hurt a lot of feelings haha.
