I was in high school at the time getting ready for my senior year. Blessed to have seen them in their prime sad to hear about Jack Russell's diagnosis and retirement, may God guide him through this difficult time. 🙏

These Greats gave us many years of good time Rock n Roll. The simple fact that they are still up on that stage, doing what they love, and blessing us lifers with just a lil bit more of themselves, is downright awesome 🤟I will take Don Dokken, Jack Russell, Vince Neil, and however many more of the older Greats that are still belting out what I love, over any younger, recycled, wannabe BS !! I am not a professional musician by any means play a little bit of guitar scream a little bit but music has been in my family for the 50 years that I’ve been alive. My lullabies at night were Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Robin Trower and of course, my own musical tastes took me in another direction, as I got older, I was never a huge great white fan, but talent is talent and the dude could sing. What did he deal with what happened to him? He’s definitely hindered now physically what happened to Jack Russell?

I honestly believe he can’t retire yet. His medical problems must have cost a small fortune over the years. He’s not making the 80’s money from record sales anymore, and he shares songwriting royalties with the other original Dokken guys. I’m sure he still likes performing, but he probably needs to do it at the same time. It’s probably killing him that he can’t sing like he used to, and grateful that folks still pay to see him.
