Mr Shaun I am taking the GCSE AQA exam do i need to know this or your other video on this
@Freesciencelessons16 сағат бұрын
Always try to watch my most recent video on any topic. I'm gradually updating them but essentially the content won't really change as the spec hasn't changed. I'm just improving the sound etc.

Hi, I have just finished my GCSEs, so I wanted to ask if you recommend starting the A level content early in the summer? Furthermore, I was browsing and I couldn't find the video (yr 12) about cell structure for a level biology - I would appreciate if you could please direct me to it's location.
@Freesciencelessons16 сағат бұрын
Yes absolutely start getting ready for A level. If you use the time now, you will find the course much easier. The best way to find all my videos is via my website (freesciencelessons.co.uk). They're organised into clear playlists. The one you need is called A Level Biology "Cell Structure". Be prepared as A level Biology has a lot of new vocabulary and new concepts but stick with it. It's really interesting.

What exam board do you follow for your A level biology and chemistry videos ?
@Freesciencelessons5 күн бұрын
I focus on the AQA, OCR and Edexcel syllabuses in the UK. Each video has the exam boards it applies to at the bottom of the thumbnail.

@Freesciencelessons9 күн бұрын
There is a playlist called "AQA GCSE Chemistry Paper 2 Organic Chemistry". That has what you need.

Students are meant to do them so they are familiar with them.

how would you "describe the difference between a linear and non-linear relationship between force and extension" in an exam (from the current GCSE PHYSICSC spec)
@hecticentertainment20 күн бұрын
So, what would a FULL answer for "Explain why more than one force is required to stretch this band" WOULD IT BE: Makes the forces unbalances, causing band to move?

3:37 The bromine molecule reacts here with a radical but then he says at 4:18 it won't take part in the reaction as a bromine molecule? Does it mean it can still happen just only if there are free radicals?
@Freesciencelessons21 күн бұрын
The bromine molecule will not react via free radical substitution unless it is converted to radicals (ie initiation).

Are electron withdrawing groups also considered directing groups? Or is it only electron donating groups
@Freesciencelessons23 күн бұрын
No they can both be directing groups. Electron withdrawing groups such as nitro direct towards carbon 3.

Thank you. I just reviewed this anyway online and I believe I have a good understanding. But my source of study can sometimes be understating and it's good to check with someone whom has as much experience as you. Edit: Yep, now I understand it even better, thanks chief.

i dont get the reactivity because the reason reactivity decreases for halogens is the same reason reactivity increases for alkali metals so why would reactivity decrease for halogens if that made sense??
@FreesciencelessonsАй бұрын
Alkali metals lose one electron whereas halogens gain one electron.

I'm really confused on this part: If we increase the light intensity and the rate of photosynthesis is increasing it tells us light intensity was the limiting. Could you please explain? How is it limiting if it's causing the rate of photosynthesis to increase? Thank you :)
@FreesciencelessonsАй бұрын
When we increase light intensity, if the rate of photosynthesis increases then that tells us that the plant could have used a greater light intensity. In other words, light intensity was holding the rate of photosynthesis back ie it was limiting.

Hi Sir, i have my physics mock on Tuesday but i really struggle to wrap my head ahead charge and current. What’s the difference?
@chrisch-qb1klАй бұрын

@FreesciencelessonsАй бұрын
Charge is simply a property of certain particles eg electrons have a negative charge. If we have 10 electrons then we have 10 negative charges. The total charge is measured in coulombs. Current is a measure of how much charge is flowing in a second eg 1 ampere = 1 coulomb of charge flowing in 1 second.

Hi Sir, this is my last time watching any of your videos as I will be doing a level physics which you unfortunately do not do :(. However, from Yr9 till Yr11, you have helped me so much that I was so confident in science that I stopped going to tutors because you explained everything perfectly. I recommended your channel to many of my friends who have recommended it to others - you have blessed us all! No matter what grade I get in science in August, I will always be grateful for your work, thank you sir.

My chemistry mock is at 9am tomorrow… on my practice paper I got a 7 because I knew nothing on bonding from my teacher teaching it in confusing ways… I hope that I can make it to a grade 8 or even 9 because bonding is where I lost ALL my marks, but now I won’t, all thanks to you!! Thank you for making it easy to understand!! ❤
