This Boy is giving out terrible advice. Dont buy a ford unless you wanna dump tons of money for repairs. FOUND ON ROAD DEAD

if it doesn't have it, put in an 8.8 inch rear axle with limited slip. not a lot of money and you won't be sorry.

I bought a 2008 Ford Ranger XL with camper shell from the original owner. The seats were like brand new!!..beautiful two tone upholstery. The owner always kept seat covers on the seats. This is a good sign..it gives the impression that the owner took good care of this truck..which he did..there wasnt any dents or damage of any kind anywhere. It had 113,500 miles on the odometer with a 4.0L V6 engine. I paid $7000 for it 5 months ago. I've never had to have anything repaired or replaced yet. It's been a great reliable truck.

I have a red 2004 edge V6 4.0 now with 235k miles and still going strong. People can’t believe it’s 20 years old and compliment on the look; I always brag about the mileage. Didn’t have anything crazy wrong with it besides normal: Stay good to it and it will be loyal to you.

Have 2003 Edge, 169000 miles. have had it for 12 years. Ball joints, battery and brakes tires. fluid flush on the pumpkin. mine is a manual and put a new clutch in 150,000. replaced the radiator and hoses and shocks. Been a great vehicle and always tell people they are great. Have had three since 97' and all three engines(2.3,4.0 and 3.0) You made a good choice and with regular maintenance expect 300,000 miles. Cannot stress enough 5w20 mobil 1 full synthetic and 5000 mile changes.

Two years later, do you have any second thoughts on the Pioneer stereo? Was it easy to install? Best Buy has an open box for a big discount. I’m in the market for one.

You have a bunch of questions to answer here on this video when you have the time. Here’s one of my own: how much was your tonneau cover? Are you super-happy with it? there are a lot to choose from, and a lot of different price points. How about those headlights? Any trouble, are they bright enough, are they bluish light LEDs or lower Kelvin? They’re now on sale “Sale Price: $257.99”. Did you get an aftermarket tailgate lock… I’m looking at them now. What about a vehicle alarm? Both of these items seem pretty essential nowadays! Just about to buy a 2011 Sport.

Probably should have mentioned the engine options and towing capacity. No mention of where to look for rust such as the front “A” arm mounts. KBB is also way off. One 1999 was valued at $3800 and the used car dealership wants $8k with mustang wheels. It’s nice and all but geeze!

I’ve heard these v6 engines suffer from head gasket failure and the timing belt usually has to be replaced along with it. Is this something that anyone here has dealt with ? I’m leaning towards the 4 cylinder since I have heard the engine is sturdier.

I heard SOHC is what to be wary of. But my truck is 2004 4.0 with that engine. Just watched a break down of one of those engines. My experience: no issues. 235k mi. so far and still strong. No unusual noise ticks slaps chirps. Not burning or smoking. Be good to it with keeping up with maintenance which is not high maintenance at all, and it’s good to you in my experience. I love this truck and will keep it until it disowns me.

I’m no expert, but I have been researching these trucks and am thinking about buying one. The 4 cylinder model is tough to come by in my area. From what I understand the v6 engines suffered from that problem more so in the early 2000’s. This was true for the sport trac as well. 2010 was near the end of production for this model and I would be more comfortable buying a low mileage ranger with a v6 in the 2010-11 model years.

I ordered the same exact jersey from fullmoonjerseys and waiting for it to come in the mail. I was wondering if they run about the same size as the fanatics jerseys do. I have St. Louis Blues jerseys in XL and I got the Coyotes jersey XL so I was wondering if the size felt the same or if Reebok ran a little looser/tighter than the fanatics ones.

I've got a factory ordered '08 with 5.0/5 speed/2wd. The extra space of the extended cab is only really useful on the four door. When I ordered mine I deleted the jump seats and got a reduced price.

I used to work with the Georgia Department of Transportation as a construction Inspector. They gave us little single cab Ford Rangers to go to the job site. They were uncomfortable, they rode rough. You could not kill them though. They would go forever. It was not unusual to see one with 280,000 miles and not use oil or smoke. Great little trucks.

You got a great piece of ford there, my boy. I own virtually the same truck from '08 and i love it. I have a few upgrades to wake up that little three that you can diy for not a lot of money. Cai, tuned exhaust and a mild chip tune take it from its stock 155 to around 190, but the real difference is it is fun to drive. Take care of it and itll never let you down. Enjoy!

5:20 5:22 5:24 i had a 1996 Ford Ranger that i bought in 1999 it had a 3.0 V6 with 5 speed, i got 23-24 MPG consistently, flat, uphills,.downhls, loaded, and empty. I sold it in 2014 still ran like a top had almost 400,000 miles on it when i sold it. 3.0 isnt a powerhouse but theyre very reliable.
