strange your nexus does that, mine doesnt do it so im not sure if your water level maybe too high hence its coming back up out the overflow

Mate thank you, as soon as that pinged out of your hand I pissed myself laughing sorry as I knew what was coming... Was just saying to our lass last night while sat round the pond I miss my nexus. I have a Drum now but using a nexus and KoiMasters Advantage made the water sparkle. Yes the drum takes the filth out of the water instantly so from a chemistry perspective its better for the Koi. However I believe better clarity can be achieved with a nexus... Great Video mate proper enjoyed it. Keep up the good work.

@@scrag68 we're getting there mate slowly but surely... Just a tip, stuff will settle in the bio chamber of the nexus over time as the air ring is raised, Once something settles underneath it that's it. I turned the ring upside down so the air holes face down. Some people even replaced them with multiple stones... That being said a quick blast with the jet wash round the outer chamber once a year in winter use to stir up all the steeled waste and it would make its way through to be filtered out. Always did it in winter as the bio load was always down and you're messing with chlorine straight through jet wash.

Nice video again Craig 👍 I use a piece of Jap Matting in the overflow of my Nexus. I leave it in all the time and rinse it out out when I clean the Nexus. I think you might need a bigger pump on the Grow-On if you're going to split the feed, or a 2nd pump, one for the return and one for the Bakki Shower. You could just turn the return off and have everything go over the Bakki Shower. Hope you're well.

Hi Craig, as you know my current pond is a similar size you your grow-on. My filters are gravity fed, and once the water reaches the 10,000 EA variable pump, it only has to go through the UV and then straight in to the pond, so very little pipework / bends / restrictions etc. I run my pump at 1%, which actually still pulls about 3,000 l/ph through the system and shows as using 17 watts. But with your additional travel through the pipes / heater / and then the head height for the shower, that could well be about right for you mate. Just my thoughts tho….. 🤔 🤷🏼♂️ 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Hi mate I did similar used a rubber end cap cut some mesh to fit in heat glued it to cap and put that on while cleaning but I also use a peice of jap Matt in the overflow tube in case it starts to overflow and that helps stop the water clouding up so bad pre clean

The same applies to a UV steriliser,don’t turn it on unless you have water running through it or it will get too hot and burn out.Very unsafe patching it up 😱

Hi mate, great video as usual, we’ve been running a mini 4kw thermotech for around 6 weeks and to say it’s coped would be an understatement, up to 4kw out and only drawing .98 , you may have to make a by pass to regulate the flow , but easy enough, ours is running at 25 c and fish loving it , these heaters run down to -7 given the winters we don’t have it might just do the job
