There are plenty of great videos on KZfaq which cover these topics. Unfortunately, I cannot address every aspect of a base in a single video. I hope you can understand! Thanks for your comment!

How is this easier than simply walking up to a weevil (or any other food bug) and killing it?
@phinqs7 сағат бұрын
It is more time consuming to actively hunt food. The more time you spend hunting the less time you can spend progressing! However, if you like the active hunting method that is entirely fine too! It is all about finding a method that works for you.

How are the bee hives operational?
@phinqs12 сағат бұрын
Good question. I actually did wonder this myself. I think it could be related to the use of hammer mode. So, in reality, you may need to reduce the number of beehives to ensure each beehive is operational.

I came back to valheim after 2 years break and my favorite part has always been doing the builds from video guides. I'm deaf but thanks to you be able to speak clearly and easy to understand with closed captioning. I've already built an outpost like yours but I added an underground storage room on the right right under stone floor. Added an outlook tower on top of the wall and made a sick entrance to the outpost. I could send you screen shots of what I've added and modified. Still some work to go but I look forward to hear back from you! And yes, it was pun intended to say "hear". 😂 P.S I love your building styles. Exactly what I've been looking for. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much! I have had many comments saying that I talk too fast so I am trying to work on slowing down a bit. I am glad the auto-captions are doing a good job so you find it easy to enjoy my videos! I would love to see screenshots of your modifications. I have a Discord server with 500+ members where you can share your builds. There is an invite link in the video description and on my channel page.

Very nice, I will try this one out. Good to see place for signs on chests, I have that much stuff to sort out I never remember where everything is. Your build videos are some of the best in terms of being an easy guide to follow, Some out there keep changing half way through and it gets too complicated to replicate. Only suggestion I can think of to make your videos even better is at the start show a little screenshot or add in description a list of all the materials needed for the build, I know that would be a pain to do, It's just an idea though. The snapping doesn't work on a few of the things you show as well, Iron torches with core wood, Says invalid every time I get it in the spot it should be.
@phinqs11 сағат бұрын
I am exactly the same when it comes to organising my loot. I have had many people ask me about the resource lists. I am currently looking into some ways I can easily obtain that information but I have not completely worked it out yet! The snapping should work but you have to be careful with what you are snapping to. If it is not working at the spot you think it should, try adjusting the cursor slightly to an adjacent snapping point. Thank you for your comment!

It's beautiful and fantastic -- not enough storage (especially compared to your black marble workshop from Mistlands - which I built alongside your full rest house, and a basement underneath, it's amazing). Would love to see what you would do to "update" that build with Ashlands parts
@phinqs2 күн бұрын
There is not as much storage here as there could be but I am certain there are many ways to add more in. I will likely revisit a few of my older builds and update them to suit the new building components but it may take some time. Thanks for your support!

I've only just started valheim recently, and only yesterday ventured towards the swamp area - I didn't realise the amount I had to do just to build with stone 😅😅 great game though, and our bases look pretty similar 😂

Can’t wait for them to absolutely fall short in their promises again xD just to then have to wait 10 years for it to even get close to what they initially promised. Plus every game they make is their “most ambitious” game yet. The company is kind of a joke honestly. Sure they make good games but they absolutely over promise and end up paying for it. Let’s hope that they’re willing to push its release date as far back as it needs instead of trying to rush it like last time.
@phinqs11 сағат бұрын
The game could fall short the way that No Man's Sky did. However, I prefer to be a lot more optimistic. I agree that companies should not promise the world and then blatantly underdeliver but the way that Hello Games has acted after their mistake tells me a lot more about them as a developer. I really believe that most other developers would have completely given up on No Man's Sky after a failed release to cut their losses. However, Hello Games continued working on it to craft it into the game it was meant to be (albeit many years later). I am almost certain they are not silly enough to make the same mistake twice because I think the gaming community would not be so forgiving the second time around. Thanks for sharing!

wonder where he puts the kiln and forge
@phinqs3 күн бұрын
Good question. Honestly, at the start of the game I just kind of place them anywhere outside. However, as I progress, I start to build dedicated buildings for them. There are a few examples on my channel where I show arrangements for kilns, forges, and smelters!
@AndreyKharitonkin5 күн бұрын
Nice, but when I steer the cauldron and those pesky bats fly in I really prefer closed building. And if it is tall enough then there is even no need to vent out the smoke. Crystal stones or iron cages make up good windows. Then dig out ground around and use raised ground as low walls and any raid can be just ignored. 😂
@phinqs11 сағат бұрын
I think these are fair points. I like to find a balance between aesthetic and function. Personally, I do not like using the crystal walls or cages as windows but they are definitely an option for those wanting a more raid-proof structure. I completely agree with the use of raised ground as a defence mechanism though. Thank you for sharing!
