The funny thing is (if you can find it) the old Tamiya matilda II kit does have the vickers MG mantlet in the box which means it does give you a choice of the MK I or later Matildas but like I said they are not common.

A good effort. Model DD with that turret could be either of the 2 mk II prototypes or the first 2 production models which were mk IV. All the remaining 623 were later Mark's (V, IX or XI)

You would think with all of the weird kits made after Hollywood creations, and then after Miniarts' M3 Lee "Sahara" with crew release, someone would make a kit with the correct figures or at least an aftermarket set for this subject.
@theconfusedmodelmaker
@theconfusedmodelmaker 2 жыл бұрын
I know there was a few after market kits for both the crew and tank but they seem to have gone out of production a long time ago (you can still came across the odd one on ebay). But for someone making a kit it could be down to who owns the rights to the movie.

Noob question. I'm a bit confused. What is glued on the main gun assembly? "Super Glue" was used on A-6 to A-13. But I am not sure what else is or isn't cemented. Also, I may not be seeing it right, but it "looks" like you have A-21 installed upside down.
@theconfusedmodelmaker
@theconfusedmodelmaker 2 жыл бұрын
There is no such thing as a Noob question if you do not ask you do not learn as to your question most of the main gun was glued as the instructions told me to do so, I used super glue on the spring for the main gun and the muzzle break and part A 21 was done so it could be moved hence it looks upside down as it is the moving part of the breech block.

@@fishalcoholic No worries though I think you maybe right about the breech lol as I just took another look at it seems alittle high but that could be down to the crew (to be honest I was not 100% when I built this kit so chances are I may have fitted it wrong).
