Simply because of the heat(if nothing else), I’ve never considered living in LA. Sam and the others from Dropout have challenged that thinking- they’ve made a world I want to inhabit and maintain for others. I’m frustratingly grateful for the crisis.

I had no idea the new iteration of the company hosts no advertizing! I was a die-hard college humor fan back in maybe 2010 or so. I'd check the website multiple times a day, until the number of ads all over the screen and blocking the content became too much. I (obviously) haven't paid much attention since, but I'm so happy to hear this and I can't wait to check out Dropout!

One thing Sam didn't say, maybe for modesty maybe cause he doesn't believe it cause he IS modest, but a lot of fans, myself included, find their product superior to the bigger players, in terms of alligning with our interests, desires and values. I watch dropout more than any other platform, and it's less than half the price of any of them

This is how every company should be run: Slow, but sure growth. Growth with a purpose. Social responsibility. Providing a workplace with meaning and where people love their job. Growth for the sake of growth and maximising profits is ultimately a completely meaningless endeavour and it hurts us all.

The quality of their productions is fantastic, whilst still being able to maintain that more authentic internet feel and silliness that is synonymous with their brand. A good eye for talent on top and you have a subscription thats well worth the cost especially on an intermittent basis which they seem to understand

Truly a dream-company. It's very rare to find a theatre or film company that respects its employees this much, this consistently and still manages to be financially sound. My own work year is a constant pendulum swing between the gigs I take for the people I'm really jazzed to work with, and the gigs I take at companies who don't give a shit but pay my bills.
