Sure thing! Thank you for answering my question and sharing your processes. You had 90 min schedules, but I would be adapting to 45 min classes. That equate one of your classes for two of mine, but with the start and end of class as well. Does it make sense to expect to finish one excelsior with demonstration and work time with 7th and 8th graders over two 45 min classes?

When you teach this painting value scale are you demonstrating with an document camera and do it with the students or do you do the whole demo first then they do it all independently?

I do a similar scaffolded skill building approach in my year long class,, but what skews it is when new students are added mid semester or mid year. They’ve missed the previous skill building work. How do you handle that?

I teach general art classes. How do you fit "everything" in a year? I assume these drawing lessons take awhile?

Hello! Depending on how long your classes are, if you see students for the year (instead of a semester) you could definitely fit all of these in - each unit could be anywhere from 1.5 to 3 weeks depending on size of drawings

@@mrstfoxresources6959 classes are 40minutes long. I see them every other day. But need to cover other topics (don't have them as simply "drawing"). I'm very interested!!! I loved watching the webinar. It was like a lightbulb came on. For future suggestions, a "condensed" version would be interesting to see as well!!!

Just took your colored pencil workshop! This would be a great little jumping off point to the larger candy drawing project! I am picturing these small practice pieces cut out like little Polaroid pictures.❤I think my students will love it!
