I was in a bar in Bangkok, heartbroken, listened to this song. The memory still lingers. It was a bittersweet moment.

Madlib Medicine Show #7: High Jazz is an all-new Madlib jazz production. High Jazz, the name itself a tribute to the landmark jazz-fusion album released by Stanton Davis’s Ghetto Mysticism in 1976, shows a marked development in Madlib’s craft. Specifically, “The Kenny Cook Octet (Stanton Davis)” - High Jazz led me to this album

488 / 5.000 The world in the 60s was a better place, great music, great hopes. We should have taken in the 70s oil from the Arabs as Western civilization has always done to other countries. It would have been unfair but there would have been more progress for the benefit of all mankind. Instead look at what they did with petrodollars .... Basically nothing that has benefited mankind. The above is very politically incorrect but it is my belief.

People heard it first from The Idea of You. I heard it first from a Bailey's commercial more than 20 years ago but just got to learn the name just now.

It’s a love/hate thing I have with tech and commercialism. I really should have been introduced to this song by a good radio DJ, but, they all have their lists and I’m at the mercy of a freaking Apple advertising team to reintroduce this song to me. Yes, I heard it in “Us” but I think I was too shell shocked from the movie in the theater to pick up on the song.

Although I'm aware that this song was recorded in New Orleans if I didn't know that I would assume that it was recorded in the south in general and I'd be shocked to find out otherwise.
