I lived in Bahrain from 1983 to 1996 and I TERRIBLY MISS IT. When I was young, I hated bahrain but I MISS IT SO MUCH. I even keep seeing it in my dreams. I am planning to visit bahrain this year

I worked in Bahrain shipyard, as a safety engineer ( 1978-9 ) I loved the Bahrainie hospitality. The social life was great, the bars were greater !. As a British ex-pat I wasn't alone there were Geordies, Scots and like me southerners. The only thing I didn't like was the police, they were as thick as shit and brutal to boot, most of them then were were from Pakistan, I hated them. I still have photos and fond memories of Bahrain and it's people.
