If you go to buy dielectric grease, look at the label. Mine said 100% petroleum jelly, cost $20. Went next door to CVS, jar of Vaseline 10 times the size…. $2, ingredients…. 100% petroleum jelly.

I used your video to change my front pads 4 years ago. Great work! Now time to do the rear pads. Of course the price has gone up! There is a product number with an A at the end. Will that work? ACT1086A

So at 2:24, "So, we're under the cowl now...". Man I wish you'd have shown that access panel better in relation to the rest of the under car. For those of you who may wonder exactly where it's at... it's right under the front of the car practically in line with the front of the hood. You don't really have to slide under the car to see it, it's visible just by looking under the front of the car. Of course to actually get the panel off and loosen the bolt you have to be under the car. My bolt wouldn't budge with all my weight pulling it like doing a chin-up instead dragged me up, over 200 pounds. I smacked it with a small sledge hammer, it worked to loosen it.

If I torqued one of the spark plugs to 16 ft lbs by mistake instead of 13, does anyone think I should remove it and re-torque to 13 ft lbs? Or is the washer already crushed and useless? Or just leave it? Thanks.

Why use the tubing instead of the telescopic magnet to put the plugs back in?
@markbrown585
@markbrown585 24 күн бұрын
Probably way late on this reply, but you can rotate the plug with the tube to get it started on the thread. Hard to do with a magnet.

Thanks for the video. Forget using a power tool for this - it's just one screw and you don't want to cross-thread the hole. Also, $26.90 (as of 5/2024) for a screw and small spring is criminal. You don't even need a new screw. You may be able to get away with stretching the existing spring or finding a suitable spring elsewhere for cents. A longer screw should work too.

Hi guys, i have problem wit my Otb 2019. Some clunking/rattling from front left wheel, but only few minutes/km after start. When I turn to right - noise, turn left - noise. But if I doing same things after few km, it is silent. Some ideas? Thanks

It's so much fun, I encourage you to give it a shot. If you're local, Google "twilight cycling at Laguna Seca." For $10 you can ride on the track for 90 minutes. It's a family-friendly event and they host it once a month from June-Oct.

Hah, surely some apex'es missed there 😅 But my favourite combo - been loving both cycling and automotive racing since 1978 and practiced both. Even at a 24-hour bike endurance event at my local track of which 10 years ago was very popular. First time I watch a bike race at Laguna Seca, seems like real fun! Greets from Denmark

This was your first race? Excellent. It looked like a group of riders got away on that first hill. I think you have the fitness and the drafting know how to be in the top 15 finishers next time if you stay at the front of the group for that first hill. I think the additional effort to be there at the start will really pay off. Hope you do it again some time. Nice job!!!

Thanks for the kind words! Yes, first race. I was wondering if it was worth burning a bunch of matches to stay with the lead group at the start, but opted to play it conservatively. I will know for next time to come prepared for a hard effort on the first lap! Were you racing that day as well?

The last time I did a 2015 CRV brake bleed, I used the 2 person method. NEVER AGAIN. Too slow and cumbersome. I just did the 1-person method and it was a peice of cake. Pushed 2 QUARTS of Dot 3 thru my just-purchased 2013 CRV brake system until it was clear because I don't think it was ever done. 3 tips: 1)Put some used fluid you removed from the master cylinder into the bottle and submerge the end of the tube into it. 2)Open the valves NOT MORE than a 1/4 turn and pump the brake pedal gently and stop before the pedal bottoms out. (The less you open the valve, the longer it will take to pump the brake pedal.) 3)When done, the brake should feel overly firm before starting the car, but after starting, the pedal will sink to the floor. Gently pump up the pedal a few times before putting into gear.
