You are an amazing son, Aaron. You have always put your family first. I can see it in the children you have raised. Dad and I are so proud of you and grateful to God for giving us a son like you. May Our Lord bless you on this special day and the years ahead. Love to you, Mom ❤🎂🎊🙏

Wasn't that time magical? I went there twice in the late 60's-early 70's. It indeed was a land of magical wonder. I wish I could go back and do it again.

I have great memories from going to Disney in the early 2000s with my family. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will be going as much now. It has gotten so busy & waiting 2-3 hours for rides is not what I have in mind for spending the day with family. This is beautiful footage & I’m glad anyone got to experience a Disney like this ❤

'87 or '88 was probably around the first time I made it to Disneyland as a kid. We grew up pretty poor, so I know my mother scrimped and saved just to even get us there, which means we had no money for pictures/video/keepsakes. This video is much appreciated! Splash Mountain under constructions?!? Now the ride theme is changing after over 30 years. The Star Tours theme changes every now and then. I forgot all about Michael Jackson's appearance. So much that was there and isn't anymore, and so much new that wasn't there then. And that big ol' parking lot is California Adventure now.

The only way I see that happening is to lower admission cost, parking cost, food/drink cost and don't let so many people in so it can be more enjoyable for the guests. But ain't no way that's happening with the greed they have.

it is simply insane that one day ticket was $20 back then which is roughly $56 in 2024, that's approximately a third of what it costs today ($130-180 ) and since then they've only added few major rides (indiana jones/splash) and 2 lands (toontown/galaxy's edge)..

Wow it was only 20 dollars 😅back Then lol. I’m sorry but the 180 Dollars today doesn’t equal to twenty back then. My parents would give me 20 dollars a week and I would feel Rich. Damn I could have went to Disney every week if I wanted haha

This was around the time some of my goth friends were turned away, or rather, told to change their appearance and come back. Now they have official Goth days lol. I carried around a huge camcorder in the early 90's when we took our oldest for the first time. Recorded everything. I have a VHS of it and nothing to play it on.

Nice video. Hard to film with that big camera on your shoulder. I know. I had one too. I miss the people mover. My dad worked in fantasyland from 1955-60. Disney let him bring his kids with him to work sometimes. I was only 3-6 years old, so I had to sit on the ride he was operating that day. I remember going round and round and round on Alice in Wonderland. I actually saw Walt Disney one day. I think he would be pleased with many of the changes to the park, but I would imagine he would be displeased with others. He did say that Disneyland would never be finished. But, just too expensive for me. I auditioned for the toy soldier trumpet players in 1974. I didn't get selected, but it was cool getting called in for a tryout. They had me play a two octave A major scale up and down and then sightread some music. I was worried about the sight reading, but then it turned out to be, 'March of the toy soldiers'. So I nailed it. Still didn't get the gig.

Wow, that's crazy to see the diffrences between then and now! Disney has obviously gotten a lot more greedier and that admission price back then has gone up 800%! I think now, you can get a small popcorn in a souvenir bucket for the $20 price! The traffic getting there and the crowds at Disneyland have also probably increased by 800% as well!
