As much as I truly love this song………… I do not care for his Live performance of the song. Studio version is perfect. He changes up everything in the Live version where there is little structure.

What a great show! They sounded great. Must have been one of their first shows. They had a short set list. They rocked the place!

Saw the original broadcast of this Austin City Limits broadcast, and Marc's entire show was unforgetable. If you can find the episode this was from, do yourself a favor and watch it. His audience participation closing number is incredible.

this is definitely the fastest version of this song i ever heard. I see we have some old school 1973 headbangers in the crowd. great video. thanks for posting this.

I'm 57 now. I remember this as a kid. I always dug it. (See I even still use 60's/70's vernacular. I'm didn't ahways enjoy it. I always "dug" it. Lol Mind blowing and far reaching.

Was this video sped up post-production, or did the band actually play at this speed?

Yes this was the right speed. This was an early version as per Moog ad libing the words.

Hi! I take it that you're Mark. I'm Robert, I've listened to this and another one of your songs. Man, you and I seem to be cut out of the same stone. I'm a teen and musician of the 80's. This song sounds similar to a song I wrote. In fact our style and taste are so similar. I'm a singer, song writer and lead guitarist. Do you still write, and are you still active with your music? I'm really looking forward to hearing from you

One of those songs, that the first time I heard it, I knew was a classic, and would always be a favorite of mine. I'm now 70years old , and that hasn't changed. Thank you Marc , for the good feelings, your performance of this song has given me over the years. From New Zealand / Aotearoa. Arohanui .

not many people experience the phenomenon, but I occasionally hear music as I get tired or fall asleep. it's not real music I've ever heard before. this clip sounds like something I'd hear as I fall asleep, angelic and vague and heavenly
