Had a 1965 solid black Mercury Comet caliente, burnt oil like a freight train but would it run, bought a wreck Fairlane , pulled the motor out and rolled impletted seats, had to custom make the ball for the clutch rod to attach to the motor, found out the motor in the Fairlane was a 260, thing I love about it was all the Hot rodders couldn't catch it on interstate, found out that the t 98 4 speed trans. And a automatic rear end, that vehicle you could rev the engine pop the clutch and wouldn't spin a wheel but it would do 120 in first gear and you had second, third and fourth to go. If you don't believe this ask the guy who use to own it, or my buddy who went to Norfolk with me or the car load o guys who shot the Middle finger at us and waved by to us. I let them slide, more I thought about it we caught up with them and played with them for awhile then we shot them the finger and waved bye, by the way they were in a Cadillac, fun days wish I had that car back
