Wow! Thanks for posing this. You just gave me a great idea. There is a Target in my area that has an upper level parking lot that people NEVER use. I park up there when I go there just for that reason. I'm going to try skating up there.

Thank you for the comparison. I have heeled skates and just don’t care for them because they have the heel of my foot so high and at such an un natural angle for me. I have planters fasciitis with a med to low arch so I can’t do heeled skates. I used to go bare foot a lot and wear flatter shoes so now I stick to zero drop shoes with custom insoles. Plus I started out on roller blades which are usually flat. All that to say I think I’m going to try flat skates and see how they work for me.

I have Riedell 111’s and they feel soooo heavy and clunky. I also wear a size 11 in women’s and have long narrow feet. I have been eyeing the parkstars because they seem like they would be a better fit. I usually wear chick Taylor’s or vans, so pretty flat shoes. I just don’t feel like I can maneuver well with how big and heavy my skates seem. Now I just need to find a store in maryland that stocks them! Oh… I’m a drum-fried hard type of girl, lol 😂

pretty good comparison and explanations. I've been skating for a few months bow, learning on heeled boots. I'm also getting flaneur with vans sneakers pretty soon and people were starting to freak me out about the seemingly impossible transition from heels to flat lol. not sure if your video gave me more confidence, but it definitely explained what aspects I need to look out for!

Damn slide blocks for skates are pretty low to the ground!!. I just got new in line skates and just put the blocks in mine. I didnt even know people were grinding on roller skates 'till recently. Looks so cool.

I tried once the boots and i was just confused about how people skate in those. I always used low cut shoes, and having my ankles blocked just seems weird. I see a lot of people with boots do not tie the boots, so i am curious to try them again and see how having a heel feels. Thanks for the video.

Hahahahahaa I know how you feel except it rains a lot in my state. It rains a lot in April, May, and June. And my skating rinks are open during the evenings… all of them. They are closed when I am free and open when I am at work. I saw that Arizona has an indoor rink bc of the extreme heat. MA should do the same because of the rain.

Even pre-covid, too-fast growth was a recipe for disaster, but during the pandemic & post-covid, all the old rules for global [manufacturer; vendors; contracts; prioritization; shipping; wholesaler; stock; retailer] business are obsolete. (Sorry for the run-on sentence).
