If I use Q2PRO, setting cl_maxfps to 120 it says this: "cl_maxfps value `120' is inexact, using `125' instead. (Set `cl_warn_on_fps_rounding' to `0' to disable this warning.)". With 125 I got kicked from a jump server.

I play with cl_async 1 and it said the same message with 110, suggesting it should be 111 instead. But it didn't get me kicked. The community might have found different fps standards since I made this video, you should ask about it from the discord server.

I've only made it to the room at 5:30 in one sitting. Took some hours.. The fastest completes by some of the best players are around 3-5 hours. So, don't sweat it!

now then, how the hell did CPMA implement both Q3 and QW movement systems without some kind of contradicotry bug?

CPMA is VQ3 under the hood but there's additional variables that overwrite left/right (cl_strafeairspeed, cl_strafeaccelare, or something like that) and forward/back (cl_aircontrol). I probably remember the cvars wrong but it's along those lines... Downside to this design is that you can't bunnyhop or aircontrol sideways. And strafe jumping only works diagonally.

The map was made by an ETjumper and lot of the jumps are based on Inertia, which is featured on this show also

Trickjumps are more valuable in gametypes with self damage. In CA they aren't used, but you'll see some of these used in duel and bomb. I'm a Quake 2 player at heart, so this is my favorite part of the movement.

Used to play quake (or duke nuke'em) on the company network during dinner breaks. They were very competitive, more so than internet games now as we could see each other and knew each other. After particularly intense sessions, one of my colleagues used to lie under the desk for a bit due to a combination of motion sickness / general head----ing.
