Why would an aviation technical college sell this airplane. ANSWER... It's not viable to finish. Otherwise they would use it as a training aid.. You don't know anything about this airplane. I'll contribute some common sense to you. You are in way over your head with your dreams of fixing this airplane. This is more a pipe dreaam , especially thinking people will donate money for a building and all the necessary items to finish this build. than reality. Quit while you are ahead. Use it as a lawn ornament to show your poor judgement. Label it" Dan's Folly in aviation".

All you wanted to do is poke around the hangar, the Long Eze was the ruse to go there. You treated it like firewood thrown in the back of the truck, and strapped down without any cushions for wings. Pass on anything you're dealing with...It's probably been abused. I cringe thinking of the hours put into this project and your disregard for it.

Great video. I watched it about 4 times. And used it to install the Curt version of this hitch today on my 2024 OBW. I also installed the Curt 4 pin brake light harness and routed the plug through the knockout near the factory plug and mounted a bracket underneath. I watched etrailer videos but they were for the style where you had to lower the whole exhaust system. Super easy with little issues. Hardest part was disconnecting the bloody parking sensor connectors. Thanks Dan. Loved your Dabbling in this job. Really Helped.

Charging being scarce in your home town should not matter for an owner of an EV because you're intended to charge at home as a convenience of owning an EV over an ICE-V. It is an issue for visitors to the area. EV is an abbreviation for Electric Vehicle, so refering to it as an EV Vehicle could be improved by saying EV or Electric Vehicle.

It’s not a great build, get a good plane kit. Two thirds of the build cost is in avionics and the engine which that has none. A Sling or Vans would be way better

But will the bluebirds come back or does this scare them off as well? We have a house we’ve had for probably 15 years that only Bluebirds have nested in until this year. Our Bluebirds came back like every year and started nesting but sparrows took over this year and scared them off. If we scare the sparrows away will our bluebirds come back and move back in to their house?
@dabblinwithdan28952 ай бұрын
Oddly enough, it doesn't scare the blue birds.

I have a problem with my Gilera Runner 2005 all engine parts are new and has not been riding more than 2km and it has been sitting in a container all winter. I didn't change the vaccum fuel pump and it is really old actually I think it's the same as when It got sold in 2007.. my problem is that when I give it full throttle it's runs perfect until about 40-50km/t and then it will start bogging like it's running out of gas so it's losing all power 💀 do u think that it is the vaccum fuel pump there is the problem 🙂?
@dabblinwithdan28953 ай бұрын
It could be the problem. That's how my snowmobile acted before I replaced my vacuum fuel pump. Good luck.

I flew in one once. The owner builder knew someone who built one too. One test run was to go down the run way and test the canard without getting airborne. This other builder used a 2x4 instead of the specified material. His canard snapped on that test. You should find the builder and interview him, see if he’s knowledgeable or an unskilled know it all.

My problem is, I can't reach the tabs that hold the grill to the bumper .
@tomcole47364 ай бұрын
I like the design of the bumper mounting with using the factor bumper bolt locations with a tie down bolt inside. But that means its all help in by thread strength and only one shear strength bolt, still seems sufficient for what it will tow and a more solid, stronger fit, than a couple of others I have seen. I dont the electrical hook up. Should have the 4way mount to the hitch outside the truck. Others did that better. Nice video

Great project, it all seems to be there in good condition, gotta be careful dragging it around dought. Majority of Years of work have been done. It's over the Hump. You'll need a work hangar, big garage or Airport Hangar. Worth it in the long run. Join a local EEA Association.

That's a trick we always used to restore motorcycle plastics when they fade. You're bringing the oils to the surface that they use to make plastic. Clean it really well, tape off the area around it and either clear coat them or use fast drying polyurethane spray. Light coats or you'll be sanding them down

Sand it first. Removes the remnants of the factory clearcoat. Without that step, end result will still be slightly cloudy due to clearcoat residue.

@@dabblinwithdan2895 I would lean more to something that failed. It's run fine for years, but it's always a little hard to start. Like it's losing prime maybe, so that could be it. An interesting note, it starts better with the hand pull than the electric start. It can crank a million miles an hour and not fire, but somehow pulling the string gives a better spark or something.
