God bless everyone that makes this happen on a daily basis. And for most part goes unnoticed.

It is okay to tell the public that they should buy in home filters to ensure safe water in their home. The fluosilicic acid chemicals being used for fluoride are contaminated with lead and arsenic above the EPA MCLG. Most water supplies contain PFAS. Chlorine creates disinfectant byproducts. The PVC pipes are now known to be toxic. If you want public trust stop sugar coating and propagandizing the public by telling them their water is safe & healthy. Be honest. If you want safe water we need to filtet it in the home with more than a Brita filter.

I am Robbiefive. I am into rebuilding old authentic fire hydrants for a one of a kind decorative conversation piece or even a pee spot for the fur buddy, I have a couple for sale and intend to get more. Please follow if you see anything you like. Thanx. R.5

Aquatic Engineer with 20 years of experience and i started in pool industry at 10 years old. I used zeolite in sand filters for a race horse swimming pool. I had great results, fewer backwashes, less chloramines, better alkalinity, better GPM, and more qualities

There is only so much water in Colorado, and people keep moving here. I don't know how we gonna supply all this water cause, we supply Utah, Arizona and other states with our water and they are growing too.

Being on the job for 35yrs, I have my favorite hydrants. The city had Woods, Kennedys, Muellers and Darlings. Absolutely HATED operating the Woods and Kennedys. Darlings operated nice but by far Muellers were easiest. Our Kennedys and Woods had 7/8 square operating nuts and they would snap off because the hydrants were so hard to open. All the engines carried cheater bars for the wrenches just for that reason. The other two, once you got pressure up in the barrel, you could spin them open with one hand.

Thanks to AWWA and NRCS for putting such a strong focus on source water protection. The RCPP program offers great opportunities for partnerships between water utilities and natural resource conservation groups. Congratulations to Sebago Clean Waters for developing such a strong project--it's a great model for collaboration and certainly benefits drinking water quality.
