Spend a bit more for a Hercules Inpulse. More eq controls and larger jog wheels. Starlight is great but it does feel suffocating when trying to learn. The muscle memory you learn is a bit useless if you move up. But it’s cool. Works in a pinch. .

If you plug in your computer you can double click shift and it’ll change from 2-4 and 1-3, kinda dumb as it takes away the point of the screen on the decks, but you don’t actually need to use the computer screen, you just need the computer plugged in to allow the ability to use all 4 channels, obviously channel 2 and 4 will play at the same time but you can only see 1 wave form at a time, obviously same with channel 1 and 3

I am considering using this in a "live" small band setting, coffee houses, small pubs and bars, where there will be two vocalists (1/2) and backing tracks playing on 7/8. I will be playing guitar as the third person (outside of the mixer) and will use the second vocalists mic if I need to sing backup. The mixer would drive 2 or 3 sets of HS 8 speakers with two HS sub woofers. My questions: 1. How much hiss do you think the mixer will create into the speakers? 2. Will the mic-preamps sound good in a live setting? 3. Is there a better solution than this? I like my gear to be K.I.S.S... One man bands need to K.I.S.S. Thanks for your reply!
