I definitely should play Motor Mayhem at some point. It would make sense for the channel, being so related to Velocity X.

It's kinda funny that this game had a demo made for it, when you really think about it. A super short game, yet it had a demo. It seems like a lot of Hot Wheels games from this time period had demos.

@@overdrive_srs dude the demo was so fun despite being such trash. You got two starter vehicles and all the engine + tire upgrades were locked. The only track that could be raced was the jungle temple map. When you won the race, it played a kickass song and then gave you an ad for the full version of Mechanix

May be a bug. Definitely not the case in general. Only the ripper wheels could possibly fit that scenario, but even that’s only when you can wedge the opponent between the wall and your car upon impact. Edit: the damage is based off the distance traveled.

HWVX really does stand out massively due to what you said. Though, there are other pretty fleshed out Hot Wheels games that are genuinely good, like Stunt Track Challenge.

I've been wanting to try it! It might ACTUALLY be a one episode "series", which would be pretty funny if it's the case. Micro Racers will be in the next community poll, along with one other game. Haven't decided what the other one will be. Probably Ultimate Racing based on what people have suggested. Of the remaining games out there, it's been mentioned a bit.

@@overdrive_srs Three things as I'm watching this video. 1. I played this game a long time ago. However, I never owned it as I would play it at my cousin's house back in the day. 2. Shadow Cat is actually Stealth from Hot Wheels Turbo Racing (aka Shadow Jet 2). 3. The final car is unlocked by getting all the X tools and finishing 1st place in that race. Don't worry, the X tools are linear in the final track.

@@overdrive_srs I don't know. That's still a mystery to this day. I mean, they called Sweet 16 II "Sweet 16" in Hot Wheels Mechanix (even though there's already a Sweet 16 casting). Plus they called Splittin Image 2 " Splittin Image". I would say that the developers didn't bother naming sequels, but then again they called Silhouette 2 by its actual name. Also, what I find ironic is that Semi and F1 Racer are actual Hot Wheels castings (the former being Long Gone/Long Shot and the latter being Formula Fever/Thunderstreak).

@@HotmanGaming Wow, this is all so weird. It's like they got someone to name the cars based on their memory without verifying, lol. At least, that's what it seems like to me. I also was suspicious of the vehicle named "Semi" as that didn't even sound like a Hot Wheels name. I'm surprised how many mess-ups there are. If you're making an official Hot Wheels game, isn't the ONE thing you have to get right is the names of the official Hot Wheels in your game?

The original reason I played on low settings was when I had a much worse computer that needed to have low settings to record videos at a good framerate. Despite upgrading, I've kept the same low settings intact. It would probably be fine to increase them, but one problem is lag that can happen sometimes, like with the Freon Bomb particle effects. In the case of speedrunning (and in general) that can be really annoying, so I just keep the settings low all the time.

I could definitely see Atom Blaster being bumped up a tier. All of that is true except for the ease of use, because depending on what you're up against you could be in a lot of trouble. Being hit by a Magnet Mine or Laser Cannon or even a Freon Bomb could screw you up a lot and now you're not aligned well enough to hit the enemy.

The closest we have is Velocity Redux. It does have an issue here and there, but it is still very solid and fun.

I had the Adam blaster low too. I love this game, but the handling can be a bit finicky and lining up the beams can be hard.

I could see Atom Blaster being bumped up a tier. It's just lining up the shots in certain situations that hold it back. If you're up against certain weapons that have knockback (unlike the Atom Blaster) you could have some trouble. And yeah it is funny that I put Ripper Wheels the lowest. Now, if I did a gadget ICON tier list based on how the icons look, Ripper Wheels would be #1!

The reason I didn't put Quantum Annihilator in OP is because the Energy Shield is truly unbeatable, whereas you can technically beat the Quantum Annihilator. Like, imagine the enemy misses their shot and you spam them with Magnet Mine from a distance, or something. Or, you get a sneak attack on them. I can understand putting Sonic Boom as great, but at the same time, for me it is just good, because the damage output being so low matters a lot to me. Wrecking havoc with the Quantum Annihilator is a great stress-reliever, definitely.

And that’s the beauty of subjectivity in tier lists lol. For instance, someone else might find more value with gadget combos and take that into account in their own tier list. (For what it’s worth in my eyes, I think Freon Bomb or Oil Slick combined with Doom Disks is a nasty combination that should bump them up a tier. Because it feels to me that you get significantly more frequent critical hit OHKOs if you’re using the DDs like a point-blank shotgun, you can use the former two gadgets to hinder the enemy’s mobility enough to get in their face!)
