@@Sammy0003 Sunlight consists of IR, UV and visible light.For Model Y, the sunroof glass has LOW-E coating and PVB layer, which can block 99% of UV and 97%of IR already. Our PDLC film is for blocking the visible light, which makes you dazzling and glare inside the car.

Exactly. This is why gas is king. It is not flammable like battery.

@@Allhailbillcoleman Exactly . It doesnt produce ultra-toxic fumes like a burning battery does. Plus gas cars as so much faster and convenient to refuel. And gas has like 20X greater energy stoirage density than even the best batteries, so they are lighter. Lots of advantages. No one alive today is going to see a world of say 90% electric vehicles. No one. For several separate reasons.

@@starpawsy energy density becomes less relevant because electric cars have about 3 times the energy efficiency of a gas-powered car, hence their MPG equivalents usually being in the hundreds. Doesn't even matter anyway, since gasoline also produces ultra-toxic fumes when it burns, about 60 times as often as electric cars (and this is measured by miles driven, so it also has nothing to do with electric cars being less common). Combine that with the now commonplace 20-minute charging times and actually, by modern standards, lightweight cars built by tesla, combined with the extremely low price of electricity compared to gasoline, and you see why the world's most sold car last year was the tesla model Y.

Energy density difference between even the battery and gas is so big that EVs are ALWAYS heavier than their ICE equivalents and yet have less range. That energy desnity factor utterly overwhelms the difference in efficienty. That's not my "opinion". That is simply stating manufacturers' statistics. Tesla, lightweight??? BWahahaha (Sheldon Cooper) The model Y is almost TWO TONS. Far far heavier than any similar ICE vehicle. A LOT heavier. Low price of electricity...... Public charging is ramping up prices all the time. Here in Australia it is almost on par with gasolene. In Europe, it already IS on par. Especially if you are paying for the 20 minute full charge. And that is not counting the mileage levy that is on gasolene in Australia that is not on EVs. Most EVs still have LNC batteries, so when they burn (and yes that is far less often) they produce cobalt fumes. These are almost immeasureably more toxic than anything an ICE car on fire produces. Here in Australia, two firemen, even though they were wearing full PPE, have been PERMANENTLY DISABLED as a reslt of absorbing Cobalt compound fumes THROUGH THEIR SKIN. They didnt even breathe it in. Many EVs are now transferring to the LFP battery. This has reduced thermal runaway (BUT it still does - a grid sized LFP battery burned in Australia last year), with a penatly of even less energy density and thus either less range or more weight.

@@starpawsy Clearly the energy density difference is not that big if I can easily drive 300 miles in an EV. There comes a point where the car's endurance exceeds the driver's endurance, and 5 hours of driving without stopping is quite a bit. I don't even have a lucid air, those can drive 500 miles now. And yes, the tesla is "lightweight." In america, one of the other best selling cars in America is the Toyota Rav4, which also weighs almost two tons, except it doesn't benefit from the handling advantages gained by having an electric powertrain build. Also, this is still lighter than most american sports cars. And yes, electricity is cheap. If you're paying 40 to 70 cents per kwh in australia for fast charging (according to google), then you're really not paying much more than I pay for electricity at home. Split the difference (55c/kwh), and combine that with my wh/mi, being 219, and I drive fairly aggressively, and that's 12 cents per mile, as opposed to the 16 cents per mile from driving an EFFICIENT gas powered car (30 mpg) at local gas prices of 5 dollars a gallon, but I'm still saving more money by charging at home, which is a beat cheaper. And then you save even more money on the simpler powertrain requiring far less maintenance. And yes, "some" EVs do still have LNC batteries, and I am in support of switching to LFP, but the energy density/weight difference is overstated. Both the Tesla model 3 and Y are still lighter than american sports cars, and LNC batteries are clearly still on their last legs. Looking around the streets around here, there's an overwhelming number of teslas, almost all of which are post-refresh, non-performance models, meaning they have LFP batteries. Knowing all this, I wouldn't ever go back to driving a gas-powered car, and I won't even get into the driving experience.

Wow, this is a really great idea. Future technologies should be developed in this direction for safe driving. But the current technology still can't achieve it. Because the window film needs to be connected to the car's system in order to receive feedback from the camera and become transparent. Today's new energy vehicles often undergo ITO.
