The engine is completely stock....at the moment. It was a military crate engine that was totally rebuilt and ready to drop in. In fact it had everything set and ready to run just drop in and connect hoses and wires and fill it with fluids. It was for replacement in the field by grunts. I have a vintage roller cam and I am looking for a replacement head to work on. I'm a bit of a scrounger , trying to find period correct parts.

4 inch bore X 4 inch stroke, totally badass. Guys were dominant for a period of time after WW2 racing with these. So they started banning "truck engines" at more and more tracks. That was done to stop people from using the GMC 302 (even the 270 I suppose)

The 235 bellhousing ,flywheel,and clutch just bolt on eh?
@jeffbell62119 ай бұрын
Only the 235 bellhousing is a bolt on. I redrilled a sbc 168 tooth flywheel to the 302 crank bolt pattern . On the military 302 block there is a cast lug on the side of the block that has to be ground off before the 235 starter will bolt on. You don't need to modify the starter though.

This is a 1917 Powers Cameragraph that was found in a shed. It was dirty and seized but after a few hours of work the mechanism is all freed up. The goal is to restore it to working condition and possibly screen a movie with it. There are some important pieces missing so it will take some time and detective work to find or make the needed parts.
