It's really complicated to know for sure, due to the lack of conclusive evidence. It has always been believed that Tamil (spoken in southern India and parts of Sri Lanka), Sumerian (spoken in ancient Mesopotamia, now Iraq and parts of Iran), and Sanskrit (classical language of India) are the three oldest languages. However, it's a matter subject to the interpretation of the evidence currently available. Therefore, opinions may differ among historians and even linguists. It's difficult to establish precise dates based on the writings we have. But what's certain is that all three are considered the oldest and have had a rich cultural influence in their respective regions. Thank you for your comment!!!

It is now thought this was cause by ergot. This poisonous fungus which infects grains does cause delusions, and can lead to death. It was a particularly wet year which would promote the growth of this fungus and the worst effects were reported from the dampest local areas.

The end of the “orphan train” was in Helena, Montana where children were let off with nowhere to go. Eventually a children’s home and hospital were built there. Very sad history.
