The reason for not releasing the entire task set at release probably just had to do with a lack of content as area tasks are supposed to reflect the content in an area. When task sets were developed over the years, they were developed for regions that aleady existed and had plenty of content in them. The ones that had task sets on release that were recent weren't so much area tasks but rather reputation systems tied to a specific area. Jagex has tried multiple approaches to them, and while they are important for the exploration of the game, they are also really hard to make since as content gets added and changes, the tasks themselves get outdated and don't show content to be up to date. I'm glad that they are back to the old system however since it's very important for the exploration of areas and mechanics for players (like the karamja diary teaching you about pets that came with summoning)

This is a great point. I never did like menophos(? I think I spelt that right) because I always thought the rep system was super grindy and not in the runescape charm type of way. I do love that it is back to a traditional area tasks system. I do wonder if this is Um's final form since all the area tasks sets were included. I suppose with the sanctum bosses that'll be the final pieces of Um's area "storyline"

You shouldn't lose your gear. You go to death's office and pay a fee depending on your gear. If you're newer/mid game, should be no more than 500k. Check the wiki if you're unsure on certain unteadables! Welcome back, happy your back friend

@@freeyourmind790 good drops is the main motivator for non-ironman accounts. You can also kill bosses for supplies, new gear upgrades and combat XP as well however there are much better ways to get combat XP.

recent viewer... but a long time player as well. MTX sucks, agreed cosmetics should be unlocked ingame. but what really needs to be added. Are ability cosmetics. ive really liked what theyve done to freedom, and the other defensives, but we need more for all the abilities. only time will tell. Happy Day...

RuneScape graphics are nice but also not nice enough, it’s hard to say if they change it will be better or worse One thing I wish more changes like eye colors, and more customization like hat + sunglasses

I love mainscape. I recently started ironman and love it as well. I think it gave me a lot of feeling of not feeling so tied down to moneymaking methods, and I have a much better understanding of the game as a whole as well. It's definitely worth a second account experience to build on the side here and there. Still love mainscape but probably leaning more towards the ironman experience

I lean more into afk than most. To me, games are supposed to be fun and I don’t find enjoyment in clicking a tree actively for days on end. I do find enjoyment in bossing and achieving goals like 99/120/200M. So I think AFK allows me to have fun where I otherwise wouldn’t.
