Yeah I've heard holding the door is mostly an American thing. It's not common in Korea or honestly most other countries. Kinda like tipping. Now I don't know why they'd hurry to pull the door shut if you're right behind them, that is odd. Love the video as well!

This video is 2yrs old but i just found and watched it. I disagree to cut in lines. We filipinos respect lines /queue. Maybe those people you saw cut in lines are priorities like Senior citizens and PWDs and that's automatically understood by us even without explanations. If they cut in line, then understand they are first priority people because they have the privilege and we respect that. Also, you can reject foods by saying "No, i'm okay, thank you!" And we knock on doors! Which kind of people wont knock on doors? Even if its open, you would still knock so they will know there is someone around, right? If they just shout or scream instead, thats rare and strange! Foreigns need to do research or asks locals to clarify things before making a judgement on what they saw or experienced
@WeWander26 күн бұрын
I lived there for 3 years with a Filipina and spent part of that time living with a full Filipino family. I had my gf at the time look over all of these and she fully agreed. It's possible things are different in your area of PH, but in the area I was in these were all very common.
@ReeChannel2422 күн бұрын
@@WeWander Im living in Manila and cut in lines is a bad habit. Only priority people can do it. If it happens in the place you're living in, means people there have no good manners. And means people in Cebu are bad unless it just happens once or twice. Not all the time.
@WeWander18 күн бұрын
Typical Manila people judging people from other parts of the country. Why am I not surprised.
@ReeChannel2417 күн бұрын
@@WeWander wait. You are the ones judging filipinos so i just wondered why u said u are in cebu and people are like that? So if u are living in cebu, u are the one describing their attitudes to us ,so i therefore conclude. Because i've never been there and u talked all negatives judgement to cebuanos and u'r making us believe with videos u post. U are shocked by their attitude and trying to affect viewers like me.

Cody, I enjoy your episodes on Korea. You actually inspired me to go there this fall. Being a bikepacker for several years and cycling trails across America has kept me in shape mentally and physically. Your confession on your health seems to me a cardiovascular one, ie. headaches, numbness, heavy breathing when you climb those stairs, and your junk food and sugary diet. Your body is trying to tell you something. I know, because I been there. Noticed how well you felt cycling. Cycling is the only thing your doing good for your body. You need to do 4 things to fix it. First, see your doctor. Second, eat a good healthy diet, no junk or process foods. And third, exercise on a regular basis. Lastly, take supplementation. There's a lot of KZfaq channels on these subjects. Your such a young man that shouldn't have these symptoms. Martin

On my first two bike trips, I didn't really explore. I saw a few things here and there but I more so followed the trail. For my Korea trip I will take my time for sure. I said it before, your series is the only one I've watched that is filled to the brim with exploration and information. I really appreciate you taking the time. Note to self, buy soap lol. But yeah your videos ignite so much excitement. I can't wait to experience many of these places as well! Also the fact that you notate where you stay is extremely helpful. I knew I had options but it's great to see it and hear someone else's experience. I also look forward to your Japan videos because I think I am going to head over there as well.
