The pants turned out great! What's wonderful with sewing for ourselves is we can make decisions to pick or unpick, or sew something differently and let it be a fashion statement! Nice to meet you. 😅😅😅 I have a long handle magnet to pick up pins. I also vacuum to be extra safe. I don't like stepping on pins! Ouch.

Wool has nothing to do with being vegan. Privleged vegans who don't 'have' to use a natural unmatched resource to keep warm. Leather is also an unmatched quality by-product. Both used for thousands of years. I look for pure wool clothes in Opshops, and occasionally get lucky. ✅️✅️✅️

I spent the last two years sewing thru my stash. I finished it back in January & now I only buy fabrics per projects. It felt so good to get rid of all the clutter. This year I have been focusing on using the scraps up 😂 - so my weeks have been filled with making stays, patchwork vests, totes etc. It’s a lot & sewing 🧵 projects do take time…but you can do it 🙌✨✨✨ #keepgoing ✂️

The Rosery Apparel Pansy dress is great for a long sleeve dress (also short sleeves) I made one out of a flannel sheet and it’s so cozy. She also has a KZfaq video hack of making a corduroy pinafore dress from the same pattern!

"You're kind of really bad at it until your not" hits so hard. I'm still in my really bad at it phase of sewing. It's nice to hear someone on KZfaq talk about it. It can be disheartening seeing everyone make beautiful garments and I can barely sew a straight line despite working at it for a year lol
@theisabellalouise
@theisabellalouise 27 күн бұрын
Trust me when I say that the way something looks on camera isn’t always an accurate representation of a garment. Comparing the thing in your hands and the thing on a screen is always going to make you feel like you are worse at it than you really are. Thinking you’re bad at something just proves that you know enough about the thing that you know what it is ‘meant’ to look like - which is a huge step in the development of a skill! Keep working at it, it’ll always be worth it ❤️

I simply love your planning and attitude, so glad you madr a video. Looking forward to following for more. I am just starting to sew again and only want to make what I will actually wear, plan better for less waste, time and energy, and since I am old now am not interested in impressing anyone, simply have a workable wardrobe I like. This is my first time watching one of your videos. I have a PhD in linguistics and I find your accent fascinating. At first I thought Australian and then English but with a lot of North American influence. Your rhotic R changes back and forth even in the same sentence. You have a very interesting mix of accents and influences. And I found the content interesting too 😊

I think you need to be a little kinder to yourself about this because sitting expectations and goals and challenges for yourself is awesome. But telling yourself that other people can easily do 10 projects in eight weeks is unfair to yourself. A lot of the KZfaqr I follow who have thousands if not a million subscribers, Rachel Maksi, for example, get completely burned out if they try doing a complete sewing project per week much less, in less than a week. I fully support you setting goals and challenges if that's what works for your brain! But also don't compare yourself to people who can pump out in a week. It can take me six weeks to put out one project. ❤

2:59 You saying: Making 10 things in 8 weeks is laughable. I'm like: Yeah. That's way too many garments for this amount of time?? And then you say it's too little and I'm like too stunned to comprehend. I mean obviously there are professionals who do that for a living but for me who does it for fun like most of us probably that's VERY ambitious. So good for you! Hold your head a little higher, please! ♥️

Yaaay we love a new upload!! 🥰 I reread the first 3 mortal instruments last year and it felt nice to go back to a world that I loved when I was a teenager, but I don't know if I'll continue with it. One of the best things I did for myself was deleting tiktok, I defiantly use Instagram reels more than I did, but no where near as much as I was using tiktok. Like you I would spend hoooours on tiktok and I wasn't even enjoying it! So I hope this new system for you helps you! ☺ and omg yesss Pinterest is my literal favourite social media because it doesn't feel like social media, it just feels like a fun little creative project that is personal to me! I hope you get back into reading physical books my lovely and have a great reading month! 📚🤍

Yes, that is a beautiful cover! One of your themes can be inspired by the cover. The pen code page is practical and pretty just as you mentioned. I happen to prefer and love more decorative pages but bullet journaling is supposed to be about helping you be more productive and should serve YOUR needs. So you be you and I bet there are others who want simpler layouts too.

I love your choice of colors! It looks really pretty especially with the pink showing a bit. I actually recently made something similar specifically with the purpose of wearing it to formal events, and in my case it didn't turn out great (the lining is too long and droops a bit too much), but yours is so good that it would definitely look gorgeous with a formal dress.

I'm glad I didn't read the book first because the movie made sense to me. I immediately went out and purchased the book however it reads very slow to me. I just started listening to the audiobook and I think I'll get thru it but actually reading it is a no go. In the book Alex signed an NDA I don't remember him signing one in the movie. It's a 2 hour movie a lot of stuff was going to get cut. This movie was fun and happy and I loved it.

Great video! :D Extremely jealous that you were able to get an edition of This is How You Lose the Time War with French flaps instead of that terrible short-cut paperback cover. Those drive me up the wall. Also, when I mark that I've read a poetry collection like that, I go by specific edition with the ISBN, but that might just be me being too focused on little details.
